Where is the button for Ashley? She's the only one who needs to die in the Mass Effect universe. If I had to pick someone from Mass Effect 2 though I'd pick Grunt. All he was ever useful for was as a meat shield, and he had too much of a bloodlust for me to like. He was essentially Wrex minus all the cool parts.

Also why do so many people want to kill off Tali? She's the coolest character in the game! Only character cooler than Garrus and Legion.

Edit: Also why isn't Morinth an option? After all you can recruit her, as I'm sure some of the people who dislike Samara have found out xD

Not sure I understand all the animosity at Jack, though--she's very powerful and very useful against the Collectors. If she ever got out of control I'd put her down instantly, but aside from that I don't see much reason to kill her.

Okay, let's think about this. Let's assume that the player has not recruited Zaeed, Kasumi or Legion (as they are indeed optional.) You have nine teammates now, if you lose Jack, Garrus and Thane because you don't have any ship upgrades, you're down to six. If you lose Mordin as your Tech Expert, Grunt as your team leader, and Jacob as your biotic, you are down to three.

You're required to leave at least one person to delay the Collectors, and you always have to have exactly two squadmates with you at all times, unless scripted otherwise. If you skipped any recruitment missions, you'd only have two teammates left. You can't go off with only one squadmate, and someone has to delay the Collectors while you fight the Human Reaper.

Skipping recruitment missions isn't possible.

That's all very logical.

However, it being logically sound doesn't prove it to be true. It makes it likely, but unless you've actually tried it, you just have a very sound reasoning.

I'm not saying your reasoning isn't sound. But it is possible that the people at Bioware didn't program the game that way.

Note: I'm not saying you're wrong either. I'm just saying that your very good logic does not amount to proof. I'm not trying to piss you off here or anything - I'm just saying that unless someone has actually tried this, we don't really know one way or another.

After going through Jack's romance I opt for not Jack. She's by far my favorite female in the series.

Jacob was bland. Let's free up the space for someone more interesting.

I voted Jacob. He was the most boring character I've ever seen. I purposely killed him off in the game. I'm not sure why Jack is getting so many votes; I'd rather have an interesting nut-job on my team than a boring skilled-soldier any day. Thane definitely takes second place, though. He seemed useless once they revealed Kasumi. Don't need an thief and an assassin. Just combine them into one character/class; their skill set would be similar anyway.
