I got my first (and only) warning for a Low Content post back in late August. It was quite a shock because I was new to the Forums and had BRILLIANTLY misinterpreted "Low Content" for "Low Brow". This is what happens when you scan over the Posting Guidelines rather than actually read them.

I've had a few close calls since then but happily there are good hearted Escapists who warned me of some oversight or mistake in time for me to correct them. I do the same for others--though it more often involves posters I don't know than ones I do. It just goes to show that what goes around comes around--if you look after others sometimes someone will surprise you by watching your back.

Most of the warnings I got were low content and I think once because I insulted someone... but I've been a good boy for over a year and health bar is clean as a whistle now !

I was almost clean, only had a few more months, but a Happy Gilmore quote misconstrued as something serious landed me a warning.

Even after explaining what it was, I still didn't get it appealed, so remember kids, add disclaimers to everything because some people don't watch movies.

OT: I haven't gotten a warning yet, though I've certainly been close to flipping the table every now and then.

If I feel like I have little to actually contribute, or won't be able to make a post without losing it, I'll usually just close out of the thread.

I got two warnings for bumping a thread which I thought was a bit excessive, why not only one warning? Whatever

I got my other warning for making a snide remark against a certain user because they read too much into some topics.

I've received no mod wrath yet, thankfully. I only post if I know I have enough to say and I don't go out of my way to insult people, even indirectly, because that's not how I work, I guess. If I re-read a reply before clicking 'post' and I think it could be accidentally misconstrued I just delete or rework it and I try to ever avoid getting in arguments on here because I'm rubbish at arguing . It's a good habit to be in, for me at least. I'm angry enough in real life, I don't need or want to be angry on the internet.

There was a time, right when I started posting, that I wanted to get the Neo badge and so I was always on my best behaviour, but I've long since realised that I post at the same speed as a lethargic glacier so the chances of me ever reaching the minimum post requirement for it are distant It does mean I've got into the habit of trying to be as nice and civil as possible (not that I'd ever particularly want to be anything but to you guys :3)

My 1 warning came from overusing a .gif while responding to a thread. I don't blame the mods, either. I'm just happy that happened after hitting 5k posts - it was my goal to not get infractions before that.

I posted a video clip and just some filler text to try to avoid a low content warning. Apparently that shit doesn't fly anymore.

On the bright side, I can show chicks my forum health bar so they know I'm a bad boy who doesn't always play by the rules.

I can't even remember what for but I remember it being worth it.

Five or six, probably. I have 4 right now. Some I got were for being mean, which I can understand, but others were bullshit. I got one warning because a guy trolled me (even he said I shouldn't have gotten it), then I got another one for saying something about [censored] that wasn't praising them in an extremely positive light. Because, apparently, you can say anything you want and attack what ever group of people you want on this site without the mods doing anything, but once you say you disapprove of the attitudes and actions of some [censored] you get in trouble for "insulting an entire demographic".

I just got my first warning recently. I apparently crossed the line between calling an ideology (something harsh), and those who believe in it (something harsh). I appealed but stood by my comment as accurate. Unfortunately, accuracy in comment does not excuse the hurt feelings someone got from it. While the ideology is insanely rude, I'm not allow to be rude at those that promote it. On odd stance to say the least. I look forward to seeing how this is enforced in the future.

I'm clean and always have been, which I find somewhat surprising considering some of the things I've said in the past. Maybe it's because I usually try and back up a jab with a bit of more concrete evidence than "It's stupid because I said so". I'm kinda hoping to at least get the Morpheus badge while I'm here, but I too post too slowly to have much of a chance at getting that Neo badge anytime soon.
