Poll: You have to cut off a finger....

Haven't seen one of these threads for a while so decided "why the hell not?"
Make up a story, someone ties you up and you have to cut off one of your fingers. That or you're really drunk and your mates dare you to do it. Whatever ties your fancy.

The point is that you have to cut off a finger, which one is it?
Personally I'd go for eiher the left ring finger or my left pinky, neither of which I see having any further use in life

And YES, I know the thumb technically doesn't count as a finger!
(And if you could specify which hand you're cutting the finger off, that'd be great)

While I AM trying to learn piano, and you kind of need all fingers for that, I'll just learn it without my pinky so people will be all like "Wow, you're talented!" and come to my shows.

yeah this one, that or at least win a couple cosplay contests with this one. I was going to choose my right pinky since I broke it as a kid and it never grew back right but I think it would make my hand look way too awkward.

EDIT: I'd like to think I cut off my ring finger to prove a point while I was drunk. I sure showed whoever I was trying to show!

Cutting your pinky is stupid!!!

I broke the pinky and the ring finger of my right hand last Summer, and my pinky was badly damaged and took far longer to recover and start moving again compared to the ring finger.
I have to tell you - You'd never know how much you need that little sucker, untill it bails on you!

Something as simple as picking an object, or lifting a cup, or opening a door with a stubborn doorknob is IMPOSSIBLE, when your pinky doesn't move, let alone if it's gone!
The pinky has a supporting role on your grip, you can't hold stuff properly without it.
Somebody hands you something or throws an object for you to catch and you instantly drop it the second you've caught it!
Your grip virtually looses all its strength without the pinky to finish that enveloping motion your fingers do around the object.
Its your pinky that supports all the weight from holding and object, and without it stuff just slips and falls.

You can try it for yourselves - bandage your pinky and try to lift, grip, push and catch heavy objects without it

Pinky on the left hand. I need every other finger, and my two thumbs, in order to play the bagpipes. If any other goes I can't hold the chanter pipe or I can't cover a hole on the pipe.

Those were my thoughts exactly. I can deal with losing ring or pinky on my right but I use all of my left.
