I'd go with smell. It's the one I don't really need.

Smell,I have a friend who cant smell almost anything because of a medical thing (I dont know exactly what it is) and he does well without it.
It's probably anosmia... usually caused by complications from chemotherapy.

I'd've quoted everyone who mentioned it, but too much work. What most people don't get is that tasting stuff is virtually useless if you don't have a sense of smell. 90% of what you taste is actually the smell of the food e.g. coffee doesn't taste of anything if you plug your nose, apples, onions & potatoes all taste the same if you can't smell etc.

Besides, mock me all you like, but I find a girl's smell the first thing I pick up on, or remember as is the case, these days.

Smell is too link to taste, and never being able to smell a girls perfume is too much
Taste is to linked to taste (I like food)
Touch is very dangerous to live without, besides sex would no longer be enjoyable (bet no one thought of that)
Sight I would be able to drive, play video games or watch TV
Hearing is the only one I could possibly live without although but and to quote SckizoBoy "mock me all you want" but the sound of a girls laugh is one of the best things

Probably smell. I don't care for most smells and all the other senses are way to important to me. I love eating food so naturally I love my sense of taste. Sight and Hearing are naturally the two most important sense in most people's lives. Feeling is also much more important to me than smell.

I've always wondered what it would be like living without the feeling of touch. You'd certainly have a high pain threshold.
You would also be more likely to do more severe damage to yourself, via things like not realizing your hand was on a hot stove. It would be interesting though.

I can't really pick one of these, but I wonder what balance falls under, I would give that up just to see what would happen.

If I did really have to pick one, I would say smell. I don't enjoy most smells in the world anyway.

Taste and smell are the same thing really, taste is 80-90% olfactory.

So I'd lose taste. As if I have any anyway..

My would have to lean towards taste or smell. Hell, my sense of smell hates me anyways, I can't smell anything good unless its REALLY strong (to the point where it's over powering and no longer pleasant) or if it's a smell that makes me sick.

Captcha: ishipsea terms wtf?

Technically, we have more than 5.

Most of the other ones people aren't aware of are so basic you don't think about it, or are folded under "touch".

Balance and pain are their own senses. "Touch" is just mechanoreception, i.e pressure.

Definitely smell. Though food would taste bland, I would have to clean my apartment less!
..Just kidding. But I wouldn't have to roll up the windows while driving through the mushroom growing fields.

I have terrible allergies in spring anyways, so I'm used to not being able to smell anything.

The downside being that you could leave your hand on a hot stove and not realize...well until you smelt it :p

I'd go for taste; hearing, sight and touch are all obviously useful, but smell adds a quality to things that the others just can't. I think smell is the most under-appreciated sense, but while there are bad smells, good smells bring back the strongest memories.

I guess smell. It's the only one I don't need for Parkour, Snowboarding, eating and Final Fantasy. I know it would reduce my sense of taste but I'm not a big eater anyway.

Good show sir, I knew about the others but not Proprioception, internets to you.

Taste probably because it's the least crucial to survival if all goes to shit. Then again it's not without it's uses (final check on a potentially poisonous berry or somewhat).
