Is it weird that I'm a little offended by everyone saying the pregnant lady? I just hate how everyone always views pregnant women as so useless and fragile all the time, I guess. I hope I don't get into that mentality if I ever get pregnant, and I hope I have enough presence of mind to get offended if anyone treats me that way.
I think most people imagine the woman to be heavily pregnant. I was going to say the kid until a post convinced me that if one of them fell that the pregnant lady has the most to lose. The kid and old lady would be in a lot of pain, sure, but they probably won't kill anyone if they fall.

If the woman isn't heavily pregnant I'd probably go for the kid unless one of the other two looked more uncomfortable while standing.

The thing is, I was picturing her as being heavily pregnant too.

I guess I was trying to say that there was more to people choosing the pregnant woman than thinking she was useless or fragile, more that she was "carrying precious cargo". As I've never been Old, Pregnant or Injured I don't have anything to objectively answer the question so I just figured I'd go by worst-case senario logic. I'd still feel guilty if I gave up my seat to the pregnant lady and then one of the other 2 fell, but less guilty than if the pregnant lady had fallen.

That's how I feel too as I definitely consider a pregnant woman as less fragile than an old woman with weakening bones or a small child with awkward crutches who is already injured to begin with.

No one, I get up, walk to a spot where I'm not In someones way, and just let them sort It out, It wouldn't work if I were like "Here have this seat, NO NOT YOU *****! The kid." One will take the seat, and other good natured people will follow in tow ... hopefully ... well If the CTA has taught me anything they won't.

None of them. Their issues are exactly that. Their issues.
But if I had to pick...
Option #4. The hot chick in the mini skirt, who I would then hit on.
I was expecting hot chick as an answer choice but it was neglected. I would also choose hot chick.
What, pregnant boobs aren't hot?

I said old lady, figuring that life is fairly tough for most people and by the time you've reached 65 you probably begin to treasure something as simple as sitting down much more than anyone younger than you.

Little kid shouldn't be on the bus if he's injured.

Was a tough choice between old person and pregnant lady though.
Whole picture man.

Pregnant women should always get priority. They're pregnant. I mean cmon. That's just common decency to give your seat up. Old lady is close second.

More importantly, who's gonna give up their seat for the tired young male? Huh? What if I want a seat? No one ever thinks about that, do they?

I would only give my seat to Gabe Newell,if he was on a bus,i couldn't imagine the terror that would be caused if he was satnding up.

being a bus rider, i always give it up to the prego lady because its hard to stand with an extra 10 or 12 pounds strapped to your stomach

I wish I actually had a seat to offer. I catch public transport everyday, and my concession card basically requires me to constantly be standing. I'd probably give my seat to the pregnant lady, and then stare pointedly at a healthy looking person nearby until they stand up as well.
