Watching soccer is like being a 14 year old trying to score at a party. You thinks you are going to get in a few times only to be shot down and the only way to enjoy the experience it to be hammered.

Football on the other hand is tactical, exciting, and always has action happening.
Football is also more fun to play.

[small]Apologies in advance for spelling errors[/small]

HINT 1:

I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams they fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.
East, East, East London!

HINT 2:

Ten men couldn't lift,
couldn't lift frank lampard,
10 man, 9 man, 8 man, etc
Couldn't lift frank lampard!

HINT 3:

Congratulations,

You just met the ICF.

If you don't get it from those then you haven't heard of the Claret and Blue Army.

I say the football is the real ball, not some rugby ball painted brown with fancy laces on it.

Every other week we have some European trying to convince people that soccer is cool.

Yet you never see an American making threads talking about how cool football is.

PS: That poll is so stupid
1. Soccer? Don't you mean football?
2. [disdain] 'Football'? [/disdain] Don't you mean 'body-armoured-rugby'?
3. What constructive critisism

Tee-hee. Excuse me while I try to suppress a juvenile urge to answer "Yes, I do."

But seriously. The one where you kick the thing around. The real one.

I prefer the non gay sport.

Also known as American Football
I'm not sure that any sport that has "tight end" as one of the essential players qualifies as "not gay".

I like handegg. Its way funner to watch than Baseball or Basketball. You can hit 100 times harder if your in all that gear too. I gotta take my brutish entertainment where I can get it.

Oh yeah, European football is just boring. Any game that can just end with no one scoring and going home doesn't seem worth watching to me.

By the way I loooooove to just sit there and laugh at all the obvious sexual innuendo's the announcers spout out non ironically. Its gotten me through some boring times with the hubby.

When exactly did it become so unnaceptable to call football 'soccer'? Soccer is an English word, used to differentiate it from rugby. I'm sure people in England used to call the game soccer all the time back in the day, and in fact most of the older members of my family still do. Then the Internet came along and soccer was suddenly a dirty word.

In fact, here's a load of examples:

And why is it always NFL that we take the piss out of? They play bloody rounders and netball!

but to be on topic
I prefer soccer or football whatever you want to call it. only because I can't grip an American football ball with one hand to throw because my hand is too small.

American "football" (pfft, my ASS!) is just the sissy-version of rugby.
I'm not a hater, I actually watch the Superbowl every year, but.. It's just rugby with about 100 lbs protection extra / player.
Oh please, you can't even tackle someone in rugby without wrapping both your arms around them and whispering sweet nothings in their ear. American football players just crash into each other as hard as possible. They have to wear all that padding in order to not die.

I don't really watch either though. Definitely prefer regular football. Chelseeeeeeaaaaaaaa!

I would say I prefer (american) football is the most enjoyable to watch, especially college football. Going to a college football games is one of the most enjoyable things to do, in my opinion, probably because I am attending a university right now and I am a die hard fan of the team.

I also like basketball, baseball, and soccer is starting to grow on me. I don't think it will become my favorite sport to watch, but I have found that I am finding it more enjoyable than I used to.

Lastly, this term I am taking a Team Handball class and it is an awesome class. I had never really heard of it before I signed up for the class, but after having played it a few times, I really hope it becomes more popular in the US because it is really fun to play.
