Poll: You see a person in pain....

So you're walking down the street and you see a person you don't know writhing on the ground in excruciating pain. If you touch them, you will receive a portion of that absolutely agonizing pain. The pain will last for roughly 30 minutes, regardless of who ends up with it, and cannot be relieved in any way. Both you and the original person would come out of the experience with no injury whatsoever. Would you do it? If so, how much would you be willing to take?

Why are they in pain? I might be tempted to help them out if there's a good reason for it, if they just got it through being an idiot then they deserve it and I hope it teaches them to be smarter in future.

Because I think anyone who could would take all the pain. Myself included.

For someone I was related to? Likley 75% or so.

A random stranger? 50%. That seems the most fair.

You know i would take a lot of it. I have a relative who is always in chronic pain due to her condition and ive generally wished i could take it away from her for just a day and let me deal with it

I was thinking splitting it half-half at first, but since I handle pain fairly well anyway I thought I could take an extra 10%.

Why take any pain at all? Because it's better that person having to go through the full force of it.

up to 75% to be fair. i had a friend who suffered pretty badly and frequently from crippling pains, and i would have done almost anything to help her abit. also, i myself suffer from horrific migraines that have literally put me on the floor for up to an hour being able to do nothing, and nothing gets rid of the pain either, so while i know im used to pretty bad pain, i wouldn't mind some karmic help with it...
does that make it selfish?

Depending on how the person looks i would take 51-75%, if they looked like a compleat douche then maby none. But a nice looking fellow id be willing to go to 75%

this question is very dependant of the person we are taking the pain for, if its someone close we will take as much as we can because we dont want them to suffer, and if its someone we hate, screw them, does that make me a bad person? nope, just human
