Poll: YOUNG ENGLISH PEOPLE: Will you go to university?

Because the government can't pay for our university fees any more, they need to use taxes to pay for other things. Apparently a lot of tax payers didn't like having to pay for university fees as well.

I find it amazing how many people just plain don't understand that as a country we just don't have enough money to fund things like this. I was watching a panel show a few weeks ago where a Tory spokesman just bluntly said 'we're broke, we can't just pull money out of our arse because it'd be nice'. Well, words to that effect.

We've got jobs in the UK asking for degrees they plain don't need. They're going to stop doing that because there won't be graduates there wanting those jobs. that'll be good for young people and good for graduates, you won't have to pay for a degree you don't really need and those with a degree will have less competition.

OT: You'll never be asked to pay it all up front so go for it if you're interested, they've even raised the minimum payment level so if you're really poor you may never even need to pay it back.

the amount of money Cameron is cutting 4 billion pounds, from uni is the same amount he gave Vodaphone alone in Tax Breaks. And they are not even a good carrier

The education system in this country is FUCKED. Hopefully I can get in this year before the fees go up, if not I just don't know.

While it's a different matter entirely and I probably shouldn't argue this here, I will. Germany managed to get out of it's two economic depressions because of heavy aid from the USA in the forms of the Dawes Plan and the Young plan and then from a mix of questionably helpful policies and war.

Note: The little bastard at the start is the friendly kind of abuse, the playful sort. I mean no offence in it.

You are an idiot. YOU PAY NOTHING UP FRONT. There is absolutely no excuse for not going to university because of cost because you as the student will be given grants and loans to pay your way through and then after you graduate will have to begin paying it back. Which is not even a consideration because you only do so once your earnings have reached a certain threshold.

I know this because I have done having graduating in 2008. On the other hand there are very few graduate jobs out there. So no, don't go to university. Less competition for me.[footnote]Moderator Edit: Please be more respectful towards other members. Thanks![/footnote]
