Wine is nice, especially with food. You need to spend at least a fiver (sterling) to avoid the risk of it tasting of vinegar though. I would say its best drunk with a meal, or with a plentiful supply of cheese, crackers and cheese related condiments.Odbarc said:What's good to drink? Of the two things I've sipped, both are awful.
I'm not a fan of spirits, although Irish coffee makes a nice nightcap.
Beer is probably one of the things you've sipped, and it is a bit of acquired taste, tending to be quite bitter. I only started drinking it because you can't go into a Glasgow pub and order a reisling, but I do like it now, to the extent that I've started drinking ales.
I'm starting to realise that I may be coming across as an alcoholic, so I'm going to stress that i actually drink pretty rarely, and only a couple of pints then. If anything, I'm addicted to tea, but then I am British so that's a given.
