What do you use/wear when it's raining outside? And why do you use what you use?
I prefer to wear a hoodie when it's raining, or looks like it might rain. I even have an old hoodie with the sleeves cut off for during the spring and summer. I like having the extra pockets and having my hands free to do whatever. Though if I was going to spend a lot of time, more than an hour, out in the rain I'll wear a rain coat/jacket/slicker.

Generally just whatever jacket I have handy. If it's waterproof, well that's all the better.

Usually just a regular coat if it's not raining much and I'm at something socialable. But if it's coming down heavily or I'm outdoors a lot I like a nice poncho or if it's really cold a oilskin with a jumper underneath.

No self-respecting Oregonian uses an umbrella, haha jk.

OT: I usually wear a sweatshirt with my hood up or my rain coat, depending on how hard it is raining.

Really this depends on where I am, where I'm going and what I'll be doing once I get there.

Plus, you have to take into account the type of rain you're expecting. For example, a siglet, shorts and thongs (the footwear, not the undies) is good, if you're in tropic monsoon rain... not so flash in the sideways, bitey 'it's not quite ice' type of rain... I'm sure you get the picture.

My regular clothes.

Also; If really pours, and I know I'm gonna get soaking wet. I start jumping in them puddles like nobody's business. Wieeee, oh, the fun I have.

Since I live in Australia, its something of a redundant question.

But for the record, I use an Drizabone oilskin riding coat. It's awesome!

Generally whatever I have on.
Some days when I go outside and it's raining I may wear a raincoat, if it's too much for a normal hoodie to deal with.

1951-issue British Army greatcoat, with or without an umbrella depending on which town I'm in... in Sheffield or St. Petersburg, umbrellas break within about five minutes, but Colchester's relatively benign, wind-wise.

Either a transparent umbrella or, if it's just a drizzle or I don't give a damn, I just wear what ever I would have worn if it was a sunny day.

A rain jacket normally. Keeps me dry.
Of course, it depends on how much it's raining. If it's just a tiny bit, I'll wear my normal clothes (a coat) on a rainy day.
