Mass Effect for sure. I'm sure KOTOR was great, but it just isn't my preferred genre so it has to be this.

KotOR was one of the greatest games I have ever played.

Mass Effect was pretty awesome too, but it didn't evoke the same kinds of geekgasms in me that KotOR did, like finally getting your first Lightsaber and Force Choking your first victim. Ahh.~

Mass Effect was a good game, but I have fond memories of KOTOR, so I'm going with that >:D
I also have some very fond memories of KOTOR. There was something about the characters and atmosphere that was just particularly immersive and memorable. Even though it was certainly flawed in area's, it's still my favourite Bioware game. One of the few games i played through many times. KOTOR 2 (although made by obsidian) was also really good, despite being unfinished and the graphics were actually a bit worse, but it had a slightly starker and more ambigious characters which i loved. Then i'd say my second favourite is Mass Effect. Third would be a tie between Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights.

Voted Shattered Steel because it was fucking awesome, as was MDK2, but I'd put that one back on Interplay.

Note: This is just because Baldur's Gate is (debatable) the best RPG I ever played, but I really liked SS and I wish they had made a sequel.

As much as I liked Mass Effect, Baldurs Gate and KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights takes the prize.
Ahh, another Neverwinter Nights fan. I never understood why so many people talked about how bad the graphics were, today, of course, they wouldn't hold up, but considering it was from 2002 I thought it had really good graphics. The story was underrated too. It wasn't fantastic, but it was definitely on par with most other Bioware games.
What I meant was someone should update the graphics NOW. I didn't mind the original look of the game, it would just be nice to enjoy the game even more.

Bit depressed Baldur's Gate 2 isn't doing so well on this poll. Have that few people played it? It's the most highly rated pc rpg ever made and easily my personal pick as well, I mean seriously, it's incredible. Go play it, right now!

GO!

Can I reply "I don't like any of these?"

Really though, I have to go with Baldur's Gate, but doesn't the very nature of this poll assume that everybody on the entire forum just ADORES Bioware? What if someone hates them? Where does your poll fit in with those people? Bit of a biased poll, don't you think?

The question is which is your favorite, not whether you like Bioware or not. By entering this topic it's assumed you've already agreed you enjoy Bioware games, which is not at all biased since a person who doesn't like the games simply wouldn't post. Again, because the question is which is your favorite, not whether you like them or not.

Torn between Baldur's Gate and KOTOR here.
I've played through both KOTORs and loved 'em, though number 2 wasn't as good as 1 in my humble opinion.
I've finished Baldur's Gate 1, but I've yet to get out of Irencius' dungeon in 2, and admittedly that place is generally tedious (except from a couple of really awesome moments). Also, the combat in Baldur's Gate could get a bit...I dunno...just not as fun as KOTOR's. I'd fucking love to see a combination of the two serie- wait....dragon age: origins is coming out soon? Sign me up! Even so, I'd still like to see BG in the style of KOTOR (graphicswise).

I finally chose original Baldur's gate in the end, because of the leap it was compared to other RPGs at the time in terms of story, quality, and original use of a license.

But all the others quoted (except sonic dark broherhood) deserve a place in the Hall of Fame.

That's the tutorial/intro segment, you haven't even begun to scratch the surface of Baldur's Gate 2. Keep playing for a bit, you'll know when things spice up a little and it's pretty much guaranteed if you enjoyed BG1 you'll be hooked from that point forward.

The combat gets much more interesting once you've got a full group and some higher level spells at your disposal. I mean, people are still debating tactics for taking down Firkraag to this day on the Bioware forums....

Have to say Jade Empire. Simply because the setting is so awesome and originial, even though it lacks in many other areas, like length, openess, etc.

KOtOR comes a close second, because while they are awesome, I find the start of both to be very tedious. It just takes too long for the story to gain momentum. Which hasn't kept me from playing both from end to end several times though.

Dunno why I never got warm with the BG series though. I tried both svereal times, but it always ends with me getting sidetracked by another game, and completely forgetting about it.

??? you didn't mention anything about the graphics in your first post.

Umm....you could just ignore the thread if you don't like Bioware's games, it's not like anyone's forcing you to reply to it. And the reason I made the poll is, as I've stated, because Bioware seems to be a popular company, that doesn't mean, necessarily, that everyone loves their games.
