I also have some very fond memories of KOTOR. There was something about the characters and atmosphere that was just particularly immersive and memorable. Even though it was certainly flawed in area's, it's still my favourite Bioware game. One of the few games i played through many times. KOTOR 2 (although made by obsidian) was also really good, despite being unfinished and the graphics were actually a bit worse, but it had a slightly starker and more ambigious characters which i loved. Then i'd say my second favourite is Mass Effect. Third would be a tie between Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights.Aleate said:Mass Effect was a good game, but I have fond memories of KOTOR, so I'm going with that >![]()
What I meant was someone should update the graphics NOW. I didn't mind the original look of the game, it would just be nice to enjoy the game even more.Snuggle said:Ahh, another Neverwinter Nights fan. I never understood why so many people talked about how bad the graphics were, today, of course, they wouldn't hold up, but considering it was from 2002 I thought it had really good graphics. The story was underrated too. It wasn't fantastic, but it was definitely on par with most other Bioware games.Spitfire175 said:As much as I liked Mass Effect, Baldurs Gate and KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights takes the prize.
The question is which is your favorite, not whether you like Bioware or not. By entering this topic it's assumed you've already agreed you enjoy Bioware games, which is not at all biased since a person who doesn't like the games simply wouldn't post. Again, because the question is which is your favorite, not whether you like them or not.NickCaligo42 said:Can I reply "I don't like any of these?"
Really though, I have to go with Baldur's Gate, but doesn't the very nature of this poll assume that everybody on the entire forum just ADORES Bioware? What if someone hates them? Where does your poll fit in with those people? Bit of a biased poll, don't you think?
That's the tutorial/intro segment, you haven't even begun to scratch the surface of Baldur's Gate 2. Keep playing for a bit, you'll know when things spice up a little and it's pretty much guaranteed if you enjoyed BG1 you'll be hooked from that point forward.Mr.Squishy said:I've finished Baldur's Gate 1, but I've yet to get out of Irencius' dungeon in 2, and admittedly that place is generally tedious (except from a couple of really awesome moments). Also, the combat in Baldur's Gate could get a bit...I dunno...just not as fun as KOTOR's. I'd fucking love to see a combination of the two serie- wait....dragon age: origins is coming out soon? Sign me up! Even so, I'd still like to see BG in the style of KOTOR (graphicswise).
??? you didn't mention anything about the graphics in your first post.Spitfire175 said:What I meant was someone should update the graphics NOW. Umm....you could just ignore the thread if you don't like Bioware's games, it's not like anyone's forcing you to reply to it. And the reason I made the poll is, as I've stated, because Bioware seems to be a popular company, that doesn't mean, necessarily, that everyone loves their games.NickCaligo42 said:Can I reply "I don't like any of these?"
