Samara, but saying she was my "favourite" doesnt say much. The characters in ME2 are so poorly developed, isolated and essentially little more than an "objective" that I cant say I felt the same connection as I did the ME1 squad. Remember them, the squad that acknowledged eachtothers existence on more than just a few scant occasions, and - shock, horror - actually talked to eachother.
I kind of see where you are coming from if you are referring to the lack of elevator talks and I do seriously miss those. Dragon Age: Origins had that kind of banter pinned down to a fine art. However, to say that the characters are poor developed... Sorry, but no. Did you ever actually take the time to talk to any of them? Mass Effect 2 has some of the greatest characters in any video game to date and all of the good characters from the first game are still about (providing you weren't a dick on Virmire) and the two rubbish characters from the first one are hardly in it which is a massive bonus.
Anway... this is a bloody hard choice. As a character, Legion or Mordin are just the best but me and Garrus, we're bros. He's my wingman, I take him with me everywhere and after Mass Effect 1.... Well, you know, we have a history of broship. I know I can trust him to take all of the bullets and lie in a pool of his own bloody so that I don't have to.
