I'm surprised no one has said Serge or Crono yet. Or Souji Seta. Or Amaterasu. Also surprised those aren't poll choices, but as someone said earlier, there are lots of non-speaking characters out there and a poll wouldn't be able to do them all justice.

Interestingly, due to the lack of cutscenes, reflective surfaces or the ability to see your legs when you look down, there is no in game evidence that Freeman is anything more than a floating pair of hands.

Actually in the original Half Life typing "Thirdperson" into the console you can see Gordon Freeman's body. So my choice is also Gordon Freeman but from the Fist Half life.
