Majora's Mask definately, easily one of my fave games.
For a start, Skull Kid is a way more dynamic villain than Ganon. Ganon is just evil for the sake of it. Skull Kid kindof feels alone and sacred and embraces his anger and greed, which torments himself and those around him as well as making him do terrible things. Seriously I love Skull Kid.
The whole 3 day time period and the general creepiness of the game gave it a real claustrophic and tense feel, also a looming sense of doom. You didnt really get that with OoT.
Sure the game was shorter, but the town miniquests and diary made it interesting, not to mention being a Zora was kickass.
So yeah that gets my vote (I get carried away :p)

Probably Ocarina of Time. I personally found MM to be a bit annoying with its time system, and Twilight Princess is just bullshit, given that it's on the fucking Wii. Furthermore, Ocarina of Time was a truly revolutionary game, just given how HUGE the world was compared to other games at the time. Also, the collector's edition with the first 4 games on one GCN disk just kicked ass. The gamecube controls were surprisingly effective for a port from the good ol'

"For me, it's a tie between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

Also, Navi is NOT annoying."

Yes, Navi is annoying. "HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!"

Any of the CDI games!

note:If any of you think the above statment is true please smash your face in with the key board now.
Anyway MM for being able to replay bosses.
As for Tali vs Navi, Navi may be annoying but at least she knows what the hell she's talking about.

fuck you N64 fanboys, I love twilight princess.

the fact is when I look back on ocarina of time I remember being to young to get any of the puzzles so I'd just enlist help of various friends.

I remember being stuck in the deku tree for about a month because I had no idea how to set fire to a web that was on the floor. That, my friends, is a dick move by designers and not JUST my sheer stupidity (well, I was like 7 at the time though).
If you were older at the time would your opinion be the same? Have you played the game since then? J/w.

Majora's Mask. The Great Bay Coast sealed the deal for me. It was an awesome place to look and to explore. Plus the whole darker tone of the game made me warm to it really much.

Majora's Mask is my favorite because the side quests are really cool. Also, it reminds me of Groundhog Day.

Majora's Mask was the best. It's dark, has great characters and is about the end of the world.

Plus, Navi is fucking annoying and Ocarina of Time goes against one of my Video Game Sins, which is about how you should not make the last boss seem like the ultimate form of evil, yet he's the easiest mother fucker in the game.

At the minute I'm playing Phantom Hourglass, since I recently got a DSi, and the amount they've packed into the DS cartridge is simply amazing, however my favourite would have to be Twilight Princess. That game just consumes you. Ocarina of Time was outstanding, but because it couldn't be as intricate as later generation games, it fails to absorb you as much as TP. A Link to the Past is also up there for its simplicity in graphical style as opposed to its intricacy in story and gameplay.

As for my least favourite, Majora's Mask surprisingly. It relied on you having previously played Ocarina, and there was no learning curve, it sent you straight into the deep end which many didn't like, and the pressure of time limits really doesn't sit well for me. I also hated Zelda II. It feels less like a Zelda game than any other in the series. Even those who were sceptical about Wind Waker have learned to live with this style since it turned out to be a competant addition to the series, and also because they carried on the style on the DS with Phantom Hourglass, and have announced the release of Spirit Tracks.

For the 2D games I like Oracle of Ages the best, it's also my favorite overall just because of how massive it seems. It really not as big as some of the 3D games but the map has so much on it, making it seem like there is so much to do.

For 3D it's a three way tie between Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Wind Waker. I've spent probably over 100 hours playing Wind Waker, and at least 70 playing Twilight Princess.

Even though I didn't like the art style of Wind Waker I thought it was a great game because of it's story. As with Twilight Princess, I've been replaying it recently and I just don't remember the game being as dark as it seems now. It's not as dark as Majora's Mask, but it still seems to have this darkness about it.

I liked the masks in MM but it was pretty short and the timer was a ***** (Even when I played the reverse song of time) I went with Wind Waker just because it was a new direction and non-linear.

Tbh I never found Navi to be annoying, I thought she was kindof cute in some bizarre way. Tatl and Tael were cooler though, ooh and Midna as well, she was ace, almost made Twilight Princess a good game..

I voted for Twilight Princess, but it's really a toss up between Twilight Princess, Ocrania and MM. I like them pretty much for the reasons splattered across the topic: Twilight Princess cus you could turn into a wolf and midna was cool. Ocarina because it is simply awsome and MM because of it's dark story.

I must admit, finding out gannondorf was the REAL villian did annoy me a great deal. Can't we get some more villians? It seems every other zelda game has the tall ginger one trying to kill you

Majora's Mask

Lots of great moments in that game, plus it continued the great design philosophy from Ocarina of Time.

I love all* of the Zelda games. But if I had to choose, I guess Majora's Mask gets my vote. It was so unique compared to the rest of the games. So was Wind Waker, and that's why it's in second place.

*Note: When I said all, I meant excluding the CDi versions. I don't consider them Zeldas at all.

I voted for the original NES title. I love all the Zelda games (except WW) but gotta go with the classic.

It's a tossup between Zelda 2: a Link to the Past (NES) and Zelda 3 (SNES).
