I`m suprised at the lack of people mentionning zombies ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (or would that be classic zombie?)

The way I unite it all in my head (am I trying too hard?) is that the humans are bitten and infected, and technically then stop living. They singlemindedly pursue flesh etc to the best of their host's ability, IE, quick to start with. However, in my apocalypse, they start to decay, and become shambling zombies.

I am going to write a zombie novel/screenplay/series when I graduate.

If the classic zombie were to ever show up they would never last long enough to have numbers on their side. The military would stand a good 30 feet in front of them and casually mow them down, while they make jokes about how slow they are, and push them down the up escalator. With the thing moving at a slow shuffle you could easily dispatch them before the infection spread. Hell, the first wave would probably be a bunch of retirement home patrons that were even slower than the first zombie. It would become a sport for teens to go out and paintball the pore things or dangle slim jims in front of them. And sooner or later the politicians would outlaw baseball bat to zombie games and they would become just a thing comedy movies used. Now rage zombies on the other hand? good luck outrunning 100 never tiring blood thirsty sprinters. In that scenario your better off using your baseball bat on a fat guys knees and hope he?s tubby enough to slow them down.
