The Atlatl looks cool, if somewhat ineffective.

Actually it's very effective, I've used a woomera which is the aborigine version and it makes the spear fly so much further and with greater accuracy.

I'd have to go with the shuriken, just because it's awesome.

I'd say the Atalanta from that list is pretty damn obscure. If I understand it right you hold it by one end, put a spear in it, and basically launch your hand forward to launch out the spear?

The last two weapons you linked are actually pretty damn nifty. That 3-sided dagger is win and the Sword Breaker also seems to be fairly useful.

Yeah, those are two of my fav's but the dagger only gets three-pronged when you un-spring it or however that works.

secondly... theres no blunt options...

id say... either or rock's main weapons from soul calibur (onslaught) and err... mebe... the greatmaces from fable 1? are all very nice maces :> i could totally handle them..!
so and realistic version of those im sure would be great...
then theres those tiny wooden dumbell type fist weapons... id love to learn to use those...
