Portal has had many good songs and now a new song has stood into my heart and you to can see the miricale speacial mention to http Yassan ://rain.nxe7.com/ but as good as they all are I beleive in the one winner system so what is your favourtie portal song
my fav is chell in the rain just the amount of work that went into it and i thought pushing chell into the middle of nowhere was a bit annoying and she should just be siting in the rain with her best friend

I've always really enjoyed "You Can't Escape You Know".
Really conveys a sense of urgency that makes that climactic encounter with GLaDOS all the more harrowing.

Turret Opera, without question. Because turrets are fucking awesome.
Seconded.

I've really enjoyed all of them but watching an army of turrets sing opera was awesome.

I have to go with the classic "Still Alive." It's just so darn catchy.

But, in all honesty, I like them all. Portal has just of the most brilliant writing in video game history.

The answer to this question will always be "Still Alive" to me. Primarily because I like a lot of Jonathon Coulton's other songs and the song in general is simply awesome. It sticks in your brain and I can pretty much quote it even though I've only heard it after I finished the game.

I still haven't played the Portal 2 but I went ahead and listened to the others anyway. Chell in the rain is pretty awesome, kind of calming in a way. I don't think "I want you gone" is as good as the original's ending song.

Love the second credits song. It just shows GLaDOS' weariness in trying to deal with Chell, which is hilarious, has an awesome beat to it, and doesn't sound as annoying when rabid fanboys sing it in a high pitched voice.

Though the turret song has pretty cool lyrics too when translated.

My phone has shit memory, and can't have a memory card. because of this, it can only fit one song on it. Still Alive is the song thats on it now. I use it as my alarm in the mornings and I always sing along to it before getting up. Its a brilliant song.

But you can't decide which is best. It isn't possible to decide. I only have it on my phone as I can't have both and I got that one first.

I love all the songs from portal/portal 2.

You missed Wheatley's Song! I would have chosen that if available, but as a second choice I'd be happy with Want you Gone or Turret Opera.

What about "4000 degrees kelvin"?
I, like most people, had the fact that GLaDOS tries to kill you spoiled for me in Portal 1.
But even so, when the platform turned that corner and started descending into the firepit, it was both epic and terrifying.

Of the available options, I'd go with "Want you gone", because it sorta enhanced the sadness of the ending for me. It felt like GLaDOS didn't really want to let Chell go, but she didn't want to be stuck with the "human" emotions she felt towards her.
