Poll: Your first run-in with pornography

I dunno 7? I found my older brothers (who were 14-16) hidden softcore girly magazines. This was the 80's btw so no Internets.

The thing I remember most vividly about them is the GIANT teased up hair of the ladies pictured. Also that they were playing billiards.

edit: I was talking to my twin brother on the phone. He apparently remembers this more distinctly than I. We were 10 (someone change their vote!) and it was a hustler magazine. We found it because we were trying to make a fort out of mattresses and pillows.

When I was 9 or 10 years old, my brother was browsing through those "white noise" channels. The way we saw it, those were the fancy channels we couldn't afford to watch. Anyway, we knew of the Playboy channel and all we knew was that naked people were in there. He stumbled across the white-noised channel and stopped. I was afraid my mother would walk in and scold us but he didn't mind; he didn't change the channel. Naturally after that, I myself looked for the channel and would watch it, or as much as I could watch it. I didn't understand much of what was going on or why people would like to watch that (I had my first ex Ed. class when I was in 4th grade, but still), but I thought it was interesting. Taboo, more like it.

It was just curiosity back then, just like when I saw that naked lady from Titanic. Then the internet was introduced, along with its random pop-up ads. And then puberty hit. And the rest is history.

my first experience with porn (where i actually knew what it was) was when i was 15, i was in the school library and some of the other kids from my class were messing around and i saw some girl do things with a horse, i was not amused, the other kids thought it was hilarious.

Also, since you posted the rules, I have a question for the mods or anyone who might know: What the hell does "advocating" porn mean? If you say porn is good you get banned???

I'm fairly certain that the 'advocating' part of that sentence only refers to illegal material and that it's just poorly written.

Apparently, that isn't too uncommon with younger people.
I remember one of my first experiences with porn while being old enough to be genuinely interested happened when I and a friend went to visit the aforementioned older friends. I was 11 or 12, I think.
We entered one of their rooms, and found them both surfing some sort of site.
They then showed us the stuff. I think it might've been of questionable legality, really.

What I remember best is that they laughed at me for staring...
Sure, I'd seen porn before. Mostly scat, as I mentioned, but this was actually hot.

Back when I was a kid, the internet wasn't around and so people actually used to buy porno mags. Every once in a while we'd find a discarded porno (or some ripped-out pages) lying in the street or in a playground or something, and to me and my friends it was like finding buried treasure.

There is this sand dune near my grandma's house that always has the weirdest sex things. There have been quite a few issues of playboy, pants, lube, condoms among other things. Funny how she never banned us from going there but I don't think she ever noticed it. People complain that the internet is ruining children, but kids have always found porn.

I was switching channels on a hotel TV. I came across a porn preview channel with a women bouncing up and down naked screaming. I actually didn't notice the man under her. I just giggled at the silly naked lady and moved on.

I must have been about 8/9. After a swimming lesson, I found a small cut-out image of a woman from some porn magazine in my changing cubicle.

I also remember my mother confronting me with it after she found it in my jeans pocket. I don't think she bought the 'my friends planted it on me as an ongoing joke' story I gave her.

I was 7-ish, and I noticed my dad watches some secret magazines (ya porn came in paper form once, it was pretty ludicrous).
And he always put them away when I was around so I checked out his stash to see what the big secret is, and woah... it was naked people... wait that's nothing special, what's this secrecy about then?

So my dad later told me "you will understand some day", baffling at the time but he was right, when I turned 13 I totally got it.

When I was 14 my family took in one of my cousins, who was having a hard time with her family, I was never sure why. But she had her own laptop. Which weighed about 12 lbs and the size of the bible the pope uses, we all remember the kind.

But she left it open one day and I was like "hey a new thing I haven't used yet" while going through her files I found pictures, and was like, "ohh, pictures on a computer" while looking over everything I found a file in the pictures called.. "new folder" hey new pictures, maybe the computer makes it's own pictures! This is the year 1999! Little did I know what 'interspecies' was.. if you catch my drift.. I still have images burned in my sinus' and still can't look at my cousin the same.

I was 9, my friend found his parents porn stash, and was eager to show me. Sex was more of a humorous thing back then mind you, more of an interest and incite into the adult world. It was awesome. Didn't really find it arousing as far as I could remember.

When I was 18, around 5 years ago, went over to a friends house to play poker (first time I did that too), and one of them put up porn on the tv in the room.

I was too busy trying to figure out poker to pay any real attention to the porn, haven't had any interest in porn, even since then.

The evening definitely would have been improved without it.
