I have a fantastic memory. The only problem is since I am so sure my memory is good I trust it to be accurate 100% of the time. Which has lead to a couple embarrassing dead wrong moments.
I could tell you the interrelationships of each individual unit for all units in supreme commander: forged alliance, and the slight differences between any given faction's similarly used unit, but ask me what your name was when you told me 5 minutes ago and i'll be hopeless.
My memory is only really good when I make an effort to remember something. I think it comes from having to memorize hundreds of Bible verses for all seven years I attended private school. Everyone would always wait until five minutes before class started and memorize them then. We had to memorize a lot of stuff in English too.
It's weird, we memorize almost nothing in public school! Everyone's freaking out over a two minute memorized speech in Public Speaking class. Pfft.
I can memorize certain things but not others. For example, the periodic table was cake, whereas I couldn't tell you where South Africa was if you held a gun to my head and demanded that I find it.
My memory is somewhat random, some things i remember some things i dont, unfortunetly there is no real coherent(sp?) patern to this so hell what was i talking about.
My short term memory is pretty bad, but long term - and my memory when it comes to faces and names - is pretty good.
It's weird; it seems to be selective...
