I would have assumed that your account had been hacked. In which case I would have informed the mods.

I pretty much always take the evil path, but I will occasionally be good, like at the end of Fallout 3, at the end of the Pitt, and when ghoul bigotry is involved.

Well, it all started in Bioshock when a little girl screamed "WHAT'S WRONG, MR. BUBBLES!?", and I've played good ever since.

In the Kotor games I usually played good because evil just seemed a little too... petty... while in games like Mass Effect I was a mostly good character who was perfectly willing to shove you out of a window if you refused to talk. Kind of like Jack Bauer but with less torture.

Dragon Age was very similar. I was a decent person who was perfectly willing to say... sacrifice a woman with dark magic so as to destroy a demon and get the support I needed to save the kingdom. Pragmatic but not an asshole.

The first playthrouh I tend to be good, but I try to be different on the second or third but it isn't easy.
I don't feel that moral choices are done properly however. I feel that it should be less black and white and the gray area only being nuetral. I feel that choices should only be in the long run, and say if throughout a mission you do something good/evil that it shouldn't be emidiate, it should wait until the end of the mission to determine loss or gain in karma. Say you killed an innocent guard, but in order to reach a location in time to save lives. Maybe the public would like you less at first but you should gain karma.
Also the middle ground has to be bigger, usually the choices for most desicions come down to good with no prize, nuetral with a prize, or brutally murder then steal prize.

I always imagine moral compasses actually point to something supremely irrelevant. What is moral north, after all?

"My moral compass always directs me to act in a way that will eventually lead me towards a large iron deposit."

"My moral compass gets confused when in space, or in a strong magnetic field"

"If I go in the opposite direction of my moral compass, I will end up in Australia."

Neutral. I shoot em in the face if their request is pathetic, I'll help them if they have a decent job for me, or have a compelling story.

It varies based upon situation. I'm normally an opportunist rather than outright evil, although I end up leaning towards evil on the morality scale.

Since no game ever captures evil through good (sure I'll help you and in the process rob you blind of your own volition then have you thank me for it) but in FO3 it was always good because Fawkes is indestructible.

My moral compass must be all sorts of messed up, then. By following mine I ended up in Australia.

Hehe wow, are people that used to me here already? I guess it's a good thing most people can't be as cheerful as me for prolonged periods of time, at least in the expression sense. So if I'm ever evil, report me guys. Because I got hacked. D:
Heh, I'ma assume you quoted the wrong person.
As for people being used to you here already, it's kind of hard not to be. I didn't call you the Queen of Sunshine and Happiness for nothing.
Nah, I'll get the person to hack other accounts for me
I mean, uh... Yeah, sure, we can report it if it happens.

I tend to do evil when I'm messing around. Typically will do good the first time around, evil the 2nd.

On my first play-through I would say I play something I like to refer to as "Chaotic Good" (Yeah, I know it is from D&D. So sue me). What I mean by this is that I generally make good choices, but sometimes some of the more evil characters tend to have... accidents around me. Of course on my second play-through I go completely evil, just to see what it is like.

Say what now? Yeah, I think you got the wrong person.

I approach every decision like I would if I had to make it in real life; as such my characters are always good, helpful but not necessarily law abiding.
I've tried on various occasions to play an evil character for shits an giggles but the evil options are just too evil for me to contemplate.

I make decisions in games the same way I would in real life. Put into common parlance, my process generally involves a priority system that looks something like this:

The mission comes first. If a decision has the possibility of impacting my odds of success, I will choose the option that would seemingly offer the highest probability of mission success.

If the decision is not likely to impact the odds of success with my end state goal, I then choose the option that involves making the most people happy. Having allies is never a bad thing.

If the decision is not likely to affect my chances of success or the lives of others, I choose the course advocated for by those who surround me.

If none of the above are true, I choose the course with the best possibility for personal gain.
