No details. Let's just say there is either a voluntary media censorship on the events of the war or nobody knows what is going on except what's on the top level. Just a thread about who would sign up without hesitation... Perhaps going back to an age when we didn't know everything immediately via the web. I'm from America and we are fighting wars now... Also, if we were to be invaded by another country, there is a very strong chance that there will be a draft so it may not matter if I want to enlist or not.

If it's on my home turf i would probably enlist to protect but not to the frontlines and take orders from some idiot that tells me to do things I dont want to! I wouldent enlist to do like the US that defend there homes on other nations soils(wich doesent really make sence to be honest)!
Of course im from Sweden where we only have a professional these days and also the last time we were at war(ourselfs as a country and not supplying with troops like Afganistan) was about 200 years ago!

If war comes to these shores, then I have a job to do. It's no longer about moral ambiguity, it's fight as an organised team or die. Humans have been fighting for so many years now, if an invader were to attack, I'd be obliged to fight alongside my countrymen.
Im a uni student hoping to go into medicine after this degree so if my country was attacked im pretty sure I could be useful to my country as something other than in the military.
I don't know. I don't actually believe that the people living in this country have anything more to do with me than any other country's. They're just strangers. But all the people I know live here. And I assume they'd want to stay instead of going to some other place like I'd do. Fucking moral decisions... I guess I would fight to protect them. And curse the world for making me do that.
True... True... But it was not the goal to occupy the Netherlands for it's wealth & resources. It was to secure it's western seafront with the UK. I'm talking about invasion because of resources and an actual good reason apart from mere bufferzones.srm79 said:

Any war in which thousands of civilians die is one in which I want no part, because I am extremely likely to die as well. I'm going straight to the best pick of safe neutral countries.
