I've always wanted to know what people thought of this show, as all of my friends like it but I just don't find it the slightest bit interesting/entertaining, Maybe I've just not seen the best bits? Or maybe it's just bad?

Speaking as someone who's seen most of the last 2 series... I think it's utter, utter shit. The songs are wank, the people are wank and the judges wouldn't know good music if it kicked them in the face.

It's just a money-making scheme and it's not worth your time, dude.

There should be a deathpenalty for watching any reality tv, and yes, this overhyped pile of "real people" drama is reality tv.

I watch it occasionally in the early stages to laugh at the hilariously bad people, but other than that reality TV = dog shite

Well the show varies from country to country.
In denmark atleast, i watch it regularely but it has become more and more of a kids show rather than an actual talent show with actual fair voting on actual talent.
I swear that the reason the kids keep advanceing to the finals and the pure talent is getting thrown out in the quarter finals is because the young voters outnumber the others greatly.

so: I think it was good but has gradualy turned into a kids show...

also, the judges are HORRIBLE
They are all way too sweet and cannot critizise anything about anyone later in the rounds...
I would hope to god that Yahtzee (i can't spell his name) would be the judge, he would atleast speak the harsh truth to the aspirants...

The judges are asses, the competitors are either insane or have irritatingly flaunted 'tragic' reasons as to why they're doing this, most of the music choices are poor, and very little genuine 'talent' (as in, y'know, the thing that makes it a 'Talent Show' in the first place) seems to come through it.

That being said, every now and then someone fantastic will crop up, and it's certainly a good show for a laugh every so often. I just tend to watch the funniest bits online if I'm directed to by a friend.

Its a fucking quick jump in to the music industry, they only ever have shitty pop songs and pop singers and I think it is a kick in the head to all musicians who went through all the ups and downs to become a musician. If you are offended by the cursing, let me know. I will alter it.

Personally, I loved the idea of a team that actually works FOR the government. X-Force and Excalibur really weren't as interesting overall as the "original" team, but Valerie Cooper's merry band of mutants are pretty damned cool. I especially like Wolfsbane and Boom-Boom, and Havoc is cool as Hell, though Strong Guy and Magneto's two children aren't exactly the most original mutants around.

It's shit, but oddly entertaining at times. It's not like Take Me Out, which is shit but always entertaining.

Take Me Out is never shit. It's God in television programme form. There's no better way to spend an hour than laughing at the increasingly sad girls that slowly realise that they're never getting picked. Plus, Paddy McGuinness has actually found something his half-comedy fits into.

Anyway, the X Factor is kind of funny at first when you get the nutters on, but it gets dull after that. It doesn't bother me though. I don't think Cowell is some evil mastermind making money by stifling musical creativity; he's just a guy whose made a show that lots of people enjoy. Fair play to him.
