Who is your personal hero, or someone you look up to, and why?

For me, my dad is my personal hero because he has pushed me through all the b.s. that has occurred in my life after my parents got divorced. Also, he encourages me to try and succeed in whatever I do, and to be strong when things get tough

Can we have personal heroes?
Because I look up to my mentors. I wouldn't be the same without them.
But I suppose my parents are personal heroes of mine, seeing as they brought me up with good morals.

My Dad, Julius Caesar, Jesus Christ (obligatory, as I am Catholic XD)

and other ancient figures in history. Caesar just so happens to be my favorite.

For a long time I didn't have one, but as soon as I became interested in the Samurai culture, there was of course one who stood out above the rest...
Musashi Miyamoto. The greatest samurai who ever lived. Nobody else in the history of existence can top him.

(P.S. Google "Zombie Musashi", and see what comes up: Nothing. I'm trying to turn it into a meme, albeit unsuccessfully, so if anyone can find a context in which it would be appropriate, or not, be so kind as to start using it in your posts)

There are no heroes, only better human beings to which we can try to mimic in an attempt for our genes to be more valuable in sexual selection. Oh I think I missed the point...

Queen Marie of Romania

Despite being in a Nigh-Impossible Tactical situation, she still held her nation together through the Great War, and under her leadership Romania came From being Hopelessly outnumbered by the Germans to Doubling Romanian Lands.

I also Venerate Saint Nicholas, Abdu'l'Baha, Winston Churchill, and Gustaf Mannerheim.

Edit: Oh, I forgot Hadrian and Augustus Caesar

The guy who plays Edward in the Twilight movies, can't remember his name at the moment. Turns out even he hates the damn thing; and I gotta admit, it takes balls to come out and say that about something that's signing your paychecks. And he plays Diggory in the HP movies, and while the movies are shit, Diggory is a great character. Being a simple man, that was all it took lol.

...Just to clarify, it's not that he hates Twilight, it's that he has the balls to admit it when he's currently relying on it for a living, or at least part of his living.
