Poll: Your preferred form of Minion, Army or Legion

Hello Escapists...... and Palademon.
It has come to my attention that whenever I play a game, read a book or watch a movie I am always fixated on the villain (Who isn't really?), but not just the villain himself, no.

I'm usually interested in his minions and whether the are competent or not along with exactly what his minions are, like Demons, Shadow creatures, Zombies, Monsters, or even cut-throat mercenaries.

So I have a list of minions you all might be interested in.

Zombies : Any kind of Zombie you can imagine, whether they be infected with T-Virus, Uroboros, Necromorphs or just the classic George A. Romero type.

Beings of Darkness : Creatures that live in the Shadows or possibly your own shadow like Noob Saibot. Basically anything that manifests itself where the light doesn't shine.

Demons : Underworld Hell Spawn. Sentient or Bestial, your choice. Incubus, Succubi, Devils, whatever.

Humans : Mercenaries, Politicians, Bounty Hunters, Gangs, Mob Bosses, Mad Scientists, Ninjas, Pirates, Religious Zealots, Knights, you name it.

Robots : Who doesn't want efficient Machines working for them, whether they be cyborgs, droids, reploids, Mavericks, Gundams or even A.I.s

Monsters : Some of mans biggest fears coming to life. King Kong, Godzilla, Gamera, C'thulhu, Werewolves, Vampires, Dragons, Cyclops, Gremlins, Trolls, Sirens, any creature from lore that man has told stories of to strike fear. Even Werepires (See Ansem Retort, Andrew Jackson vs The Werepires for inside Joke)

Aliens : Predators, Xenomorphs, The Flood, an alliance of multiple aliens or even the stereotypical little green men armed with deadly spaceships.

Other : Please specify any ones I may have missed that you would prefer. Anything is good.

So tell me Escapists,

If you were a Villain (Or if you already are) and you could have Minions, an Army or a Legion to serve under you, what would they be and WHY!?

A Legion of Jem'Hadar (sp?) from Star Trek would make for a superb set of alien minions.

Serving me in my conquest of the world, I would have adorable kittens and gummy bears. Tremble as they march forth in an unstoppable wave of cuteness and delight. Flee from the wretched cuddles and heart melting looks, and that would only be the beginning! Roll forth tank mounted puppies, soar and deal annihilation flying squirrels. None will defeat my army of cuteness!

Face it, you can't fight something so cute.

In all Honesty, I'd prefer Humanoid Shadows, mostly because of how versatile they could be in the Dark and in the cloak of night.

Plus having my own Shadow act as a weapon would be sooooooooo badass. We could fight together.

In that case, I'll go with the VIII Legion of the Adeptus Astartes, more commonly known as the Night Lords.

Robots. With sufficiently advanced AI and diverse enough design, they can fill the physical roles of human soldiers, armored vehicles, giant monsters, even ponies. I'd have a battalion of robot unicorns alongside my real army... just for shits and giggles.

Demons. Use them to possess all the men in power in business and government with empty promises of more power beyond their imaginations, then take control of the world's finances. Create a society of consumers and make them think everything is normal. Slowly phase out their rights under the guise of threats to our culture and civilization. Any real resistance would be taken care of using human soldiers fighting for freedom or something. Once everyone lacks the will and ability to fight, lead them to the slaughter so my Dark Lord, Satan, can take his place to rule the world on a throne of skulls. From there the oceans will be drained, the mountains ground to dust, and finally the sun itself shall be extinguished.

People. Most adaptable and comparatively easy to control. Also lets you put on the pretense that you're not completely evil for a while. An army of all the other things I can think of just screams evil mastermind and then PEOPLE stand against you. With using people, you can take power with less of a fight and maintain it with less force.

Maybe some dapper, waistcoat, pointy shoe, sword cane carrying, variant of Demons-assuming they could take human form. They would always have to have some clever quip or pun before they attacked.

Demons. particularly an army of succubi and incubus, although I must point out that harpies are a type of demon.

An AI like Skynet's and the Geth's love child. Versatile self reparining bodies and AI controllers that in most cases are immortal due to being backed up. With the ability to have experienced soldiers on tap. Run army though as real as possible simulations in down time and the ability to copy experenced AI units as needed. Not only would I be able to out number most armies but out gun and out think them too.

Thats only using them as an army. The vesitility and down right hardyness a robot can have would alow them to severe extreamly well in no combat roles and hazzerdes envioments. Just slave the bodies to a severe running the AIs and your work foce can do jobs in extreamly deadly conditions with no loss of workforce skill just the ocastional body that can be repaired or replaced.

Depends on my mood and on what's available.

Zombies, robots, demons and beings of darkness are prefered because they don't have any conscience that could get in the way.

I don't count cyborgs among robots though.

Humans have too mch of a conscience to be usefull for anything more than slavery, but that requires me to have minions first to crack the whips on them. They're definitely not prefered.

Aliens are often plagued by the same problematic conscience that humans have.
Well, the sentient ones at least.
Some of them could be used as pets and guard dogs though...
Space-sharks with lasers attached to their heads anyone?

Prefered types:

Robots are probably the easiest to acquire of all the prefered minions, so I'd like them to be the bulk of my force.

Zombies, of the virus type are good for taking over other planets cheaply, if I have a virus ready.
They will attack anyone organic, including myself (if I haven't replaced this meatbag body yet), so they're only good for infecting everyone on the planet, then have the robots kill them all, which will be a lot easier now that they don't have any real strategies anymore.

Zombies of the type created by necromancy however, can be controlled, but they're a lot of work and need constant replacing because their bodies keep decaying.

Demons (and Dark and Evil gods), well, they're nice to have on my side, but we all have our own agendas, so their loyalty is often questionable, unless they're created by myself of course, but each one has to be made by hand (and magic) and they can't be mass produced.
It would be interesting to create some demons whose bodies produce an spread the earlier mentioned zombie virus...

Beings of Darkness, well, they require constant darkness, so they can't be used everywhere at all times. But they may be useful to have around in some dark tunnels and labyrinths, but other things that won't run away when you shine a flashlight at them will be needed as well.
