I love all forms of destructive magic, especially fire/explosive spells, nothing like roasting an enemy to death or blowing each limb 50 feet in differrent directions

OT: In a game with limitless possibilities? Necromancy of course. I like have undead minions as long as they have free will a la Mogworld.

In real life? Healing magic. I'd be the most successful doctor of all time! Or derp-mancy. Then I'd have a reason to kill people to avoid people.

I can't choose.

I like all of them and can generally find uses for each. I think I watched too much Avatar and came to respect each element for what it was capable of. Give me a random elemental power and I would be happy. Not like everyone has such powers, anyway.

Though, I generally focus on healing magic in a game. The ability to heal can allow you to get through treacherous areas using less mana and losing little health. And who wants to go without a healer anyway?

Allow me to add to this.

Gotta show the aftermath of the healer going down.​

Like I said in my previous post, healing magic is very useful. Even being a big burly tank that can heal yourself is a serious plus.

Ice magic, cause I'm cool like that(yes, I made a pun, whatcha gonna do about it?), plus if someone annoys me, just freeze his hands and give him a bit of frostbite, nothing massive though, just a bit of pain thats all.

Why thank you, it's quotes and PM's like this that made that 2 and a half hours of work making it worth it. It's a wonder that a time waster where you die in humorous ways would be such a hit with everyone :p

After watching a lot of Avatar, im compelled to go for Water. Waterbending can be used as a weapon, it can be used to stun, it can be used to heal, it can be a means to breath underwater, and bloodbending (Using the water in blood to control a creature) it just seems like the swiss army knife of magic.

So yeah, water magic for me, that and water can be found just about anywhere.

If we're talking about what I'd like to have, it would have to be psychomancy, as long as it included telekenesis and mind altering. So basically a Jedi. :D

Pyromancy comes a close second, though.

My top three from your list would be:

Psychomancy: I personally like the type that plays mind games and creates illusions. Telekinesis is definitely a great advantage too.

Necromancy, it's by far the most versatile. After all, as long as another mage is dead with different powers, then I have his/her powers at my convenience as well.

Spatial magic.

Compress space to reduce distance traveled.

Stretch space as a defence mechanism.

Fold space and turn it into my bag of holding [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BagOfHolding].

Bending space so things that travel through dont end up were theyre supposed to go.

Split space... and anything that occupies that space.

Aside from that, Fulgurmancy is a close second for the sheer ammount of stuff it can potentially do.

BTW the correct latin prefixes for earth and electric magic are Terra- and Fulgur- respectively.

Since it can have the power of a Cole from Infamous to the Archangel of Lightning.

... I can't just pass that up. :p

And lightning suits me to a T, hell Storm is even in my name and for a good reason why.
