I've always enjoyed the look of electricity magic, I always use the shock destruction spells in the Elder Scrolls for my mage characters. If it's mixed with a world of technology, you could have all sorts of power at your disposal.

Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy and see the potential in mind magic - but sometimes, I like to see it to believe it.

Electricity. I've always wanted to mess around with electrons. Besides, who wouldn't want to act like Hei for a bit? :-D

Another vote for Cryomancy (you put aeromancy on there but not cryo? For shame).I could freeze the insides of someone, shoot an ice spike at the face, or if I wanted the nonlethal approach, I could freeze the hands or feet of someone.

Also could be used to fly, depending on level of control over ice. I could just create a platform of ice and control it while I stand on it.

Being from Minnesota, I've always found that Hydromancy would be the most useful. Still, the prospect of Psychomancy (particularly the Telekinetic powers) always appealed to me.

On the other hand, while those two could be for single targets, Pyromancy is almost always addressed "To Whom it may concern"

How could you say anything other than time?
Time allows you to do everything. Need money? stop time and rob a bank! Getting old? Make yourself young again! Want to see the past or the future? You can do it!

To all of those people that chose necromancy... I just had a thought.

Me, and all the other people who picked white mage/medic/healing magic could TOTALLY kick your butt.

I'm fairly certain that undead type creatures are weak against white magic and healing magic. So that's one more advantage to being a white mage to add on the pile.

Cardboard magic... the gathering kind.
My favourite game and hobby of all time.

If we're talking actual magic and not cardboard pieces more addicting than crack, i'd say necromancy.
Not in a cruel or evil kind of way, but lacking belief in souls or afterlife, i can't help but marvel at the imaginary oppertunity to donate your earthly remains (skeleton) as free labour for the coming generations.

I know it's not as creative, or even useful as other powers.

But how can you not feel like a ************ with pyromancy?

Turning your obstacles into ashes seems both spectacular, and deeply satisfying.

"[Insrt] mancer" isn't my thing, granted having an element magic is still cool but I don't want to be tied down to one element untill it is role played game/ anime purposes (Avatar: The Last Airbender).

As for my favourite, it's the one with variety of magics then being a sole focus on a element or thing like death/ dark (Nerco).

It doesn't make sense that healing hurts undead. What does healing magic do: mend flesh, repair bone, remove burns, all things that could benefit undead creatures.

As for white magic, it's one against many. You'd need a lot of mages.
