I always said meem, but for some reason I also always thought it was wrong. Apparently I was right all along. Go me!

Meem, the way Richard Dawkins intended, because it's kind of like "gene" (thanks, wikipedia!).

I wish that was the reason, really it's because the first time I heard the word (at all) was on Doctor Who, with the Adherents of the Repeated Meme.

Also, I believe there is a rather *ahem* informative article on ED relating to the pronunciation of meme.

Always thought it was 'me-me' to be honest. Never heard it being said in real life, so I'm not sure really.

So my question to you is, how do you pronounce "Meme"? I hope I'm not the only one who pronounces it a different way than the majority.
According to the concept and the creator of this concept it is supposed to rhyme with gene (and therefore with cream as well).

What a sad thread... And so the number of those to be excluded from the master race increases.

I was unsure of how to pronounce it, it was either ME-Me or Meem to me...but then one day I just stuck with using Meem...this is the first time I've heard that's correct...Huzzah!

"Meh May".

I know how it's supposed to be pronounced, I just don't care.
Odd considering how often I try my best to correctly pronounce other things when I learn the correct way, but I decided that I preferred "Meh-May" by a large margin to the other choice.

Not sure why you found this so shocking, I just went "Huh" upon seeing the Wiki, then looked up the origin of Pedobear, Or was it Pedobear then Meme? Either way, I kinda wish I remembered why I was even looking those two things up.

I say meem. Unless we're speaking French in which case I pronounce it mehm, becuase it's pretty much the French word for "same."
