Poll: Your thoughts on MK vs. DCU, and who should be in the next installment?

I loved MK vs. DCU more than any other 3-D MK game. I tried to play Armageddon afterward, and I couldn't believe I ever thought that game was good.

As for new characters, it's going to be hard to not only balance the DC and MK sides, but also get a good and evil balance while still giving fans what they want. For now I think it would be best just to list a bunch on each side that stand out and see what sticks.

*They aren't really in the DC Universe, I know, but Warner and DC own the characters and Watchmen made a comeback, so it shouldn't be a surprise if they threw them in.

I also know that the DC side would be bigger than the MK side if they all got in, but MK has dozens of other characters they can shoehorn in to even the sides.

On the subject of fatalities, way to puss out, DC. I'll bet Marvel would have been fine with Captain America getting his spine ripped out, or Wolverine ripping someone to shreds. I think THAT game would have been better, Mortal Kombat vs Marvel. If you guys are doing another cross over, let's do THAT.

I don't even want to play the first (and hopefully only) MK game without gory fatalities. Usually blood and gore is just a side element of videogames, but it's an integral part of the MK formula, and I think it's ridiculous that they made a 'MK' game where the worst you can do to your defeated opponent is knock them out into the ground or some crap like that.
But of course, the series has been going downhill since MK Trilogy. (although Armageddon, with all characters evar, was definitely worth getting!)

While Mortal Kombat was my favorite ASFG of all time, MKvDC just F*cked it up. Mortal Kombat was praised and hated for the amount of violence in the original games. MKvDC wasn't even violent enough to get a "M" rating. Come on, MK, T for Teen? Bullsh*t. Not to mention the whole "rage" thing was stupid. I had more fun playing the arcade demo for UMK3.

But if they HAD to make another DC crossover:

(It's been a few months since I've played so I can't remember any other characters that I'm not sure were in or not.)

And now for DC:
... ... um... they pretty much got everyone they needed. I knew this would happen. Only a select few MK characters got in while DC characters were getting free passs.

From what I've heard, Midway could be going out of business in the near future. It's been a few months since I read the article, so I'm assuming things might have got better. But I don't want the last MK game to be MKvDC. Hopefully they are not making another TNA Wrestling game...

My housemate got it and we played about on it for a while. He was into the DCU and the comics so he enjoyed being the characters. Personally I didnt enjoy it it as just another beat 'em up but with comic characters as a novelty. I thought removing actual fatalities was a bit lame as well especially because what they were replaced with were so poor.

I would suggest adding a few classic characters they forgot about somehow in this installment.

"Blood" and "gore".

In all seriousness, I didn't think it was a terrible game, but it didn't feel like Mortal Kombat either. The roster was okay.
