Shotgun.

Always the shotgun.

True story: When I was 10 my then 14 year old brother was disturbed enough to lock me out of my father's computer and thus away from Doom for 2 weeks when - trying to impress him - I said, "Shotguns are cool." Yeah, that backfired. And while I do like shotguns it's not my favourite weapon. (Close range favourite though.)

Truth is, I'm more of a sniper. I love to find myself a spot with birds-eye view of the playing field and just deliver head shots. Boo-yah.

(You'd think reading this that I'd play a lot of FPS. I never do.)

I chose a Sword and a Pistol... More games need to better and more fluid melee/shooter combat.

Like knifing in Call of Duty. Maybe they should do it where if you knife at the same moment as the other you do a sort of power struggle where you have to bash a button and whoever wins kills the other person. Kinda like how they handle dogs, you have a chance to break their neck. Even from behind there should still be a chance to counter it. This would be the perfect way to detract from that asshole running round with infinite sprint, faster run speed and charging with the knife. No form of killing should be 100% in any shooter that tries to portray realism (keyword: try).

Long distance head-shots are fine too, and I like having a medium range semi auto rifle to back up my shotty, but I'm just not that good as a sniper. I can pick up and identify targets fine, but it takes me a little while to draw a bead, by which time they've usually found cover. I try to exploit the 0.25 second "oh shit he's right there!" delay that is a lot of peoples' response to CQB tactics in shooters.

(You'd think reading this that I'd play a lot of FPS. I really do.) :)

Usually blades, I just like them, they suit me more then guns, and thats why I have a wooden katana and a real one just incase, also I can use guns but dont usaully use them...

Blades have more personality to them.
