The topic of my thread this month is, Whats your worst story in MineCraft? What happened to you that mad YOU mad or sad?

I'll get the ball rolling with my story.

After a long time of building cool houses and castles, I decided it would be awesome if I went underground and mined for some rare blocks. So after about an hour of mining, I thought it would be a better idea to use about 100 blocks of dynamite to clear out the entire underground in a matter of seconds.
In theory, it would work great! I could let the explosives do all the work for me then I would collect the results.

Result:
When I finished placing about 50x50 blocks full of explosives underground, I started mining the walls to find some escape routes or additional routes to plant explosives. Just my luck to have an explosive Creeper hanging on the other side....
...BOOM!

Yeah, It blow a massive hole in the ground (Probably about 400x400 blocks wide/length). About half of my world (Underground) was one giant crater, like a nuke went off. But the problem was, that the crater happened to reach above ground, and when I spawned, I fell to my death into the lava each time I wanted to respawn after death.

End Result:
I had to start over after about 50 in-game days worth of mining. A frickin' creeper ended my world... since I didn't have a bed setup to force a new spawn point.

(8) Never dig straight down~ (8)

Accidentally setting fire to a mountainside forest, at the top of which rested my log cabin.

was digging ceiling, creeper fell through, blew up.
tore a massive hole in a wall that was mostly glass so it shattered and gravel which fell.
when i returned it was full of zombies and chickens, I am still rooting out the last of the chickens from the tunnel till now

a second time i was digging out a big gold ore seam. I hit lava from above, which immediately flooded the gold and a whole complex.

moral is do not dig above you

I built a skull in the sky that wept lava. I forgot that lava burns forests. My entire wood supply was directly underneath the skull down a hill.

Probably the best one i have is when my server was glitching for myself and my brother, we both encountered a creeper that was standing on top of THREE PIGS stacked on one to another.

It blew up our school that we we're building to replicate our high school

Started a new world, with so many great looking natural caverns and potential building spots, and not a single tree visible in any direction. Of course by the time I found a tree it was dark, I was unprepared and a couple minutes later I was quite dead.

I just finished making a really awesome huge log cabin/train station in single player survival, and then I dropped a bucket of lava in it when I was trying to store it in a chest. After burning down my house it set my forest on fire and wiped out all of my torches in the area. I spent the next day or so rebuilding while constantly getting hammered by creepers. From now on lava does not enter the house and the house is always stone.

I was playing on the Peaceful setting because I wanted to build stuff without fear of dying.

I fell off my floating fortress, died, and lost everything. Then I stopped playing the game in general because I didn't like the idea of playing a game for 6 hours only to lose all of your progress. End of story.

I was digging to find some more coal for my cool tower of fire and light. I never dig straight down so as to not fall to my death. At any rate, I was digging around when I noticed a shaft of light above me. I thought to myself, "That's a cool if haunting effect" and continued on my way. Something must have happened above me because I heard hissing. Apparently, a creeper must have found its way down that hole or something because the next thing I knew I had been blown up and was now falling rapidly down a deep, dark shaft.

I died after falling into a gigantic cavern the creeper had opened up right underneath us. And I will never find that place again.

I was fairly far into my world, got a multi story house with some decent stuff, namely my diamond pickaxe. Found a lava lake and started mining around it. I saw some iron ore and went to get it, only to find that the ore was above the lava. It fell in, and in a moment of COMPLETE idiocy I tried to catch it.

Yeah. Fell into the lava and lost all my good stuff. Felt like such a tool.

Biult a new portal into the Nether. The Nether end of it was situated in an overhang of a cliff that was directly above a lava fall.

Oh and the other side was 3 blocks of Netherrack then a lava flow decided to drop in.

First I was mining. And then I forgot to craft. It was terrible.

My friend is a griefer. He takes joy in destroying other people's work on MineCraft.

I found it out when I let him have a spin in my world. He found my chest with six (or so) buckets of lava, and promptly set my forest on fire, burned my supply room, coated the outside of my house in lava (standing on top of a high block then placing the lava, of course having a fast escape route), dumped lava down the shaft of my mine, and generally fucked it up.

I don't know how he did it so fast.

Probably my most "You have got to be kidding me" moments has to be when I discovered a giant tunnel with connecting sections. I mined and mined for hours, filled up 100% of my inventory with GREAT materials. Only problem was, when I went back to where I came in, a creeper turns around the corner and goes BOOM

Suffice to say, Giant hole blown, and I go falling down a long shaft into... you guessed it, LAVA.

Bye bye materials

I set mine to casual so I could just build my huge glass house hanging from the roof of a cavern with a forest underneath. I might come back with a tale of monsters..

After spending an hour mining, finding several dungeons and diamond veins, I came across another zombie spawner and got punched into lava, lost everything.

I went outside one morning for some early morning sheep punching, but a creeper was out there, and blew me up. I still survived, but my friends house didn't. I went inside, to see what the damage was, and found that a creeper had come in the hole in the ceiling, and it followed me to my house, where it blew up my basement. He now has 8 block thick walls, and I just finished rebuilding my basement, after about 10 in games days.
