Oddly enough, I've been playing SSBB, Pokemon and L4D2 a lot lately. If I had to get stuck in one, it'd probably be FPS games. Fighting games have limited appeal. The only reason SSBB is still fun is because I can customize it. RPG's wear out on me real quick because there is so much time you have to waste leveling your guys up for the next big challenge. Not to mention that every Pokemon game up til now has felt eerily similar... so... yeah... At least with FPS, the action is short so you can play in short bursts without any problem. Controls are simple... at least on PC, hate console shooters. Not to mention most PC shooters can be customized to no end with maps, campaigns, etc (not all, but a good portion that I've seen). So I'd have to go with FPS.

I was just playing Battlefield 1943 so... FPS? I guess this means I can still play Halo Reach when it comes out. Oh well I guess I would be happy but this means I can't play my dad's Starcraft 2 anymore.

I think the last game I played was Uncharted 2... alright, I'm pretty cool with shooters. Plus I'll never run out.

EDIT: Oh wait, I forgot... I played Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box last night. Even better. But right before it I played Final Fantasy VI... So... if we mix the last three I played, we'd have a puzzle based JRPG shooter...

fallout 3 which is an fps/rpg game with small elements of rts (vatts aiming system) so yea that technicly gives me two genres that i'm locked into so i still get variety woot so i still get elderscrolls series halo deus ex ect. the only genre i would miss would be fighter and spectacle fighter genres (if you don't know the spectacle fighter genre go see yahtzees' madworld review)

Warcraft 3, specifically DOTA.

So I guess, uhh, it's RPG? Because DOTA doesn't exactly have a lot of elements of an average strategy game. Otherwise, Warcraft 3 is a strategy game with RPG elements...

Fuck if I care, as long as I have the map editor it can be anything I want it to be.

For me, it'd be Other (Sandbox/Action games), as RDR is the most recent game I played.

I could live happily with that, as I'm sure you could tell. ^_^

I would be Sandbox and i would hate that to no end. Sandbox games are rarely done right. The story is never compelling (except Red Dead Redemption), the fetch quest are boring as hell, it's always tedious to get from missions to missions, You can always predict the ending (no, Red Dead isn't a exception.).

Then, why do i play those game? It's because i gave them equal chance to wow me like other have done.

i would have loved SC2 aswell.. if not for the redicoulous amount of processing power required by it to play it, its one of those 'you need a fat pc to make it look just as good as another game on your thin pc' games. ( company of heroes/dawn of war/sins of a solar empire ftw. ) < well coded games dont need big beasty pc's XD

Been playing pretty much only GMOD recently, which is good because there's so many different gamemodes within that game and genre (if GMOD is technically in a genre, I guess it's a "sandbox" game but not in the way that RDR or Crackdown are, more a sort of "DIY" genre) that I would easily be kept entertained for a while.
