I think they should just have a podcast like the Rebecca Mayes muses' one. His appearances on the AG podcast got me listening to that podcast, it's quite funny and generally good.

Hate to repeat what people have already said but...

No. Zero Punctuation is helarious in small, visual doses per week. Plus with Yatzhee's trademark fast talking it would be alot of work to make it a sizeable podcast.

However a podcast from the general staff of the escapist would be interesting. Seem like a mostly intelectual and decent croud that I would be willing to listen to for 30+ minutes at work when im bored.

I'm noticing a pattern here. What I'd like to see is the existing feed for Zero Punctuation videos to be iTunes compatible. That is all. No changes.

I'm new to these forums so excuse me if I'm stepping on some toes here.

Have you ever heard of, let alone used, a podcast? Let me break it down for you real quick.

A podcast
**IS** an rss feed with media content embedded. That's it. Technically any traditional text/image based rss feed qualifies as a podcast although generally podcasts are audio or video based. Podcasts are convenient because of the ease with which their content can be downloaded to mobile devices. People either use a computer program like iTunes to download the podcast content and then sync it to a mobile device like an iPod, or they use an app on a smartphone to download it and skip the whole USB syncing step.
**ISN'T** Just audio, necessarily short, required to update every 5 minutes or stretch its usual format to be "sizable".

Therefore, statements like

don't make much sense. All the time? The podcast would only update as often as the website does right now. If you only watch the show once a week, there's no requirement that you download the podcast any more than once a week. And there's nothing keeping the site from releasing podcasts for all their other shows as well, following in the tradition of College Humor and Revision3.

As regards ad revenue, lots of podcasts have embedded ad content which gives the site owners a whole other medium to earn those dollars that seem to make the world go 'round.

Also, I realize that I'm posting this over a year after the OP and thus peoples' opinions, knowledge, and what-have-you's may have changed. I mean no offense. I just really want a ZP Podcast.

podcast - i.e something you can download to you computer/put on iPod, ect. something you can watch on the go.
You can already do that if you're a publisher's club member.
And by podcast, do you mean something besides ZP? Cuz we already have extra punctuation.
Though an escapist podcast would be awesome, I demand that you make it happen!!
