His reviews are heavy on the comedy, but they're still reviews and I value them for that. Sure, he emphasizes the bad points more than the good, but most other reviews do the opposite. This brings a good balance to the table, and it's nice to hear about potential problems before I actually get the game. Several of his reviews have actually spurred me to buy a game, because I was interested anyway and after his review I was left thinking "I can live with that".

(I picked Both, in case that wasn't obvious.)

At first he was just comedy but nowadays he just doesnt seem as funny to me and I see him more as a really good reviewer who can use Metaphors and Similies like a University English Teacher
This and as a Timesplitters fan I'm not gonna go against the words of Harry Tipper.

Both. If there is an episode on a game that I am genuinely interested in then I guess you could say I will watch it primarily for the review part, although it has to be said basically everything yahtzee says, whilst generally true, should always be taken lightly. However, I also keep coming back every week and watching episodes randomly when im bored because the comedy is just too good.

He's hilarious, but it's not like he doesn't have any valid points about it. He knows what he's talking about from a gamer's point of view, so I always take his opinion over... most anyone else's. You know, except for if my friend is shouting at me "THAT GUY IS PSYCHO, YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS GAME, IT'S LIKE JESUS ON STEROIDS" to which I Would reply "Buff Jesus? I'm in."

It is mainly comedy, its the reason i watch, but he does review.. sometimes with great detail or sometimes very brief, followed by a joke which makes me forget the minor review which he just said. Still, he gets the point across about whatever game he is reviewing while still making us all laugh.

Comedy and review, but the review is mainly just playing up the negative aspects which is where the comedic aspects come in

id say its more comedy, i find it hard to take it as a face up review since he does often treat some games unfairly just to stick in a few extra dick jokes. He is still obviously very intelligent and I would love to read/watch some serious reviews from him, but ZP always had and will be a comedy show more than anything else.

It's a comedic review. If you listen, you can tell if he's giving it a thumbs up or a thumbs down by the way he insults the game. Besides, his reviews have influenced me to purchase or avoid a game on more than one occasion.

It's a review of sorts, if he hates the game he will state why.
If he likes the game he will mention some good points in the game, then state every flaw.

I don't really use reviews that often, so I just watch him for entertainment. I wouldn't care if he started reviewing your mums knickers, as long as it was done well I would watch it.

Comedy/Critique.

Not much else to it. Review? Well...no it doesnt structurally pick out aspects of the game unbiasedly and discuss them on any kind of comparative to standard other than Yahtzee's own preferance. So I wouldn't really call it that.

But who cares, it gives me a laugh each week, why nitpick somthing that does that... I mean unless he's mass murdering behind scenes in which case feel free to probe, but this isn't somthing that really needs defining, Enjoy it, don't enjoy it, Move on.

it is indeed both with more comedy. I personally don't care much for the series and don't think that Yahtzee is all that funny.

Both, obviously. You may as well not have made this poll if you were going to include that option.

Well it was originally a review series, what i enjoyed most about it - but somehow along the way he has begun to exagerate for comic effect = Not good
That was kind of my sentiment about it.

It's definitely not a review.

He intentionally plays up the horrible aspects of the game for comedy.

Reviews generally look at both positive and negative aspects.
If you watch his reviews about games that are good, or more than just the one terrible review you apparently watched, you will notice he looks at both positive and negative aspects, perhaps you just don't have the mental capacity to understand his accent...

its a review with comedy but I dont often care for reviews and tend to review my own games I watch it for the comedy and a bit for review since it does inform a bit about the game
