Something happened! Zombies attack the whole nation and you are alone in the midst of a zombie/soldier conflicts battleground. You raise your head and see dead humans everywhere. Both walking and totally dead. A zombie attacks you. You get saved by a barely living soldier and then he dies.

Something snaps in you! You have decided how you live this apocalypse! You decide to.....

EDIT: Fine, I'll be serious. Take the soldiers weapons and head to the nearest rooftop, probably via fire escape and maybe pick up some survivors if possible. A rooftop is an easily defendable position, if I find another person with a gun to hold the fire escape, I'll get them to do that while I hold the door to the roof (if there is one), and we've just got to wait until the army sweeps through and we get an escort to the nearest military base. The fire escape would get clogged with corpses soon enough, same as the stairwell, so we'd most probably only have to defend it for a short time. If the soldier had grenades on him I'd use one of those to blow the fire escape off.

I like the SPAS option. I choose that one. Besides, you don't have to worry about others, which in most movies, are the things that get people killed. Also, I would make an outfit resembling that of Leon Kennedy from RE2, just to humor any survivors I come across, unless of course they don't get the reference... Do you think the post-apocalyptic future would still have awkward silences?

Mixture of 3 and 8: team up, create a sanctuary, try to win the war of attrition and expand the sanctuary, eventually wipe six billion zombies from the Earth and leave behind a human population small enough to live sustainably.
