I kind of wish I hadn't watched the episodes so many times. Watched every episode in both seasons at least 3 times each (more for the really good ones) so I'm kind of burned out on the existing episodes. It's gonna be a long wait for season 3.
That's exactly the reason I haven't re-watched any of season 2 yet at all. (Except for the finale, and come on, that finale was awesome.) I learned my lesson from last year.

Its a good thing as long as it stays cordial, which it has so far.

Edit: I apologize for the double post.
You should be apologizing for that pun...

I guess you could say I'm a "pegasister"
I'd rather not. I remember a time when no one accepted that term, and anyone who used it would be quickly informed that "brony" is a gender-neutral word. I miss those days.
Pun? Pun? What pun? *clueless*

Also, I thought "pegasister" still wasn't all that accepted. Haven't been keeping up on that whole debate.

Imho, its really not that big of a deal.

What the fuck is so great about this show? Yeah, it's funny, from time to time. A good 75% of the time it's god awful 5 year old pandering.
And that's what wrong with the brony community. It's a neat show, and I think it's gravy that you like it.But a 36 year old friend of mine stood in line for two hours to get the autograph of a lady who did a voice for the show, a show made for preteen girls.

The general lack of understanding of what the brony community worships is why we nerds can't have nice things.
what if i told you.....that John De Lancie, who played Q from star trek generations and that one guy in the Assassin's creed series, voice acted for Discord in season 2?

these voice actors do a LOT more than My little pony. Tara strong, for example, has played what seems like hundreds of characters from a lot of our favorite shows like
-Fairly odd parents
-Powerpuff Girls
-Avatar: the Last airbender
-Drawn Together
-Transformers Animated
-Chowder
-Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
-Wolverine and the X-Men
-Ben 10
-The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
-Teen Titans
-The New Batman Adventures
-X-Men (1993-1997)
and a shit load more
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0152839/

the other voice actors on the show also have outstanding resumes, the voice of applejack and rainbow dash, Ashleigh Ball, even has her own band. so as you can see, these are VERY talented people, an autograph from any of them would be AWESOME.

I don't care if you're not a brony, tara strong voiced batgirl, and is voicing her again for Lauren Faust's "Super Best Friends Forever". you should want her autograph for that alone, but if you didn't like batman then there's something wrong with you.

Well, I love the show and the community, but I haven't shelled any cash for any figurines... though if an official Derpy figure is released...

I was linked to a news story about a mod for Skyrim that replaced all the Dragons with Fluttershy. This mod also altered their roars to play Fluttershy's "yay". The mod sourced this clip for said cheer:

That clip made me instinctively grin. It wasn't: "Oh yeah, that was quite amusing. *grin*", it was more: "Louder. Yay. Louder! Yay! LOUDER! *intake* Yay!...too loud? *grin*" It was a few more months before I took my first foray into the show though, as the old "curiosity vs scepticism" battle had to play out in my head. But once I watched the first few episodes, I couldn't stop, it was just too much fun. ^^

The only possible effect it has had on my life though, is it may have been the catalyst for re-igniting my passion for writing. Maybe. If I can push past this block I have.

In short: MLP: FiM is great fun to watch and a damn good show. So awesome! /)^3^(\

I had corrected TizzytheTormentor's use of "cord" to "chord", and you used the word "cordial". I assumed it was intentional.

I suppose the show had given me a better outlook at what being a friend is especially to my closest friends. No I'm not taking the friendship report as a literal lesson to follow by but as a reminder on how I treat my friends and others better.

The show is fun and all, I broke down and decided to watch it, primarily because I loved Dexter's Lab as a kid, and figured I owed it a shot. I was surprised I wanted to keep watching, even though I am not the target audience.

Apple Jack is my favorite of the gang.

I'm still of the firm belief that anyone over the age of 10 who considers themself a "bronie" is a hard core troll.
It genuinely perplexes me as to how an adult could enjoy that show without nostalgia value.

So how have ponies affected your life? Have you held the line, staying pony free? Or have you, like me, completely given up and let the ponies wash over you, consuming you into the herd, so now it takes up almost all your free time and money?
Here we have an example of why I'll never understand bronies and maintain a distance of at least 30 feet at all times.

You people scare me a little.
That, my slightly scared friend, is what we call a joke. To some degree it is true, but not all of my free time and not all of my money. Only most of it.

Meh, the show is alright if a little bland. The brony phenomenon used to make me angry with its ridiculous frequency and obnoxiousness but now that people merely seem to like it like any other show rather than taking a moral high ground about gender identities or praising it as the second coming of christ it's all good.

It has also provided many involuntary lulz through all the drama:

Well my fine friends, season two of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is over. We won't be seeing anymore ponies until around the end of the year. So how have ponies affected your life? Have fun kids, and don't burn down the forums please. They don't come cheap you know.
....I'm disappointed in you Raziel. You should know better than to waste time watching Ponies, what with Nosgoth crumbling and all. You leave me no choice, I have to tell the Elder God and Kain about what you've been watching.

OP:Luckily for me it hasn't played any part in my life.

It's "brony". Is this really so hard? "pony" -> "ponies"; "brony" -> "bronies". It genuinely perplexes me that people have trouble with this. I've given up trying to convince people like you of my sincerity. All I'll say is that there are plenty of popular things that baffle me, but I accept that other people just have poor different taste. I son't see why this popular thing ought to be any different.

Hey! That's my thing! Or at least I started it. Topaz just helps out since he's more active these days.

No, you are mistaken! I am not Raziel, that fool is still burning away in the lake of the dead. I am his brother, Rahab! And go ahead and tell Kain and the others. By this time, they will all be watching ponies as well!

When I first heard about the new generation of ponies, I just scoffed. Back then, My Little Pony to me was something for little girls and nothing more. And then I noticed some people on here using Pony avatars. I was confused at first. Then people started talking about how great the show was.

So I watched the two part pilot. I thought it was okay. Nothing all that special. But then I decided to watch a couple more episodes. And then after that, I decided to watch more episodes. Before I knew it, I fell in love with the show.

My Little Pony FIM has showed me that anything can become great in the right hands. And Lauren Faust and her team were the right hands in this case. They were able to turn something that was aimed solely at little girls into something that anyone, including a 20 year old guy like myself, can enjoy.

Also, to those who have just recently joined the fandom:
