Pools Are Finally Back in The Sims 4 Today

*yawn* Wake me when they fix the "have to load while walking around town". Seriously, what genius decided to drop the single biggest advancement of Sims 3?

Did they ever explain the reason for this?

Apparently it was to make the game more stable and run faster (not sure about that last one).

Honestly, I'm happy to see the return of loading screens. Sure, the frequency is annoying but considering how much of a nightmare Sims 3 was on my old computer because of the open world I will gladly take that particular change with a smile.

Does Sims 4 actually use less resources than Sims 3?

Judging from the System Requirements I believe it uses less resources than the Sims 3. However, I'm also not much of a tech person so I can't say for certain.
