I really don't like how Bethesda do RPG's....I feel like they sacrifice pretty much everything in the name of freedom
I get that you can't do everything but personally if I'm expected to sink hours into a game world I want a compelling reason to do so, and not "oh heres a bunch of RPG spare parts stuck together with sticky tape...have fun!"

There are franchises that I personally don't care for but I don't really hate any video game. If others love Nintendo franchises, they can. I don't like them but "hate"? That's ridiculous to care that much about something I don't like. But you know what...that answers not fun. So here's my answer:
My hated popular franchises?
Everything that you love. Everything. Is that your favorite game? No, it's terrible. Do you like that game? Well you shouldn't because it sucks. Have you never played that game but you thought that it looked like it might be interesting? Well I hate it just to be safe.

Hate is too strong a word but I've never been able to get into the Legend of Zelda series despite playing three of them, I just get bored after-all a while and once I get stuck on a puzzle, lose the will to ever play again.
Hate is far too strong a word for anything so trivial. I dislike some games, but most of the mainstream games you have listed tend to be more mediocre than downright bad. Granted, you pretty much just listed every major franchise around at the moment so I'm pretty sure you are either trying to troll really poorly or are the most bitter human being I have ever encountered.
So yeah, there are some games who don't appeal to me, but I still don't hate them. Things like the X series of sci-fi flight sims or the paradox grand strategy games. I own several, and have tried to like them, but get tired of the amount of minutia and the learning curve needed to properly enjoy it.

I feel like this thread may be a joke, but personally I've never really come across any franchise I actively hate. I dislike what Final fantasy has become, and I'm now indifferent to pokemon, but give me a game of COD with my mates, GTA is always a laugh when you've got the map unlocked (and cheats. glorious, glorious cheats) and I found fallout new vegas a bit sterile compared to Fallout 3, but I can general find several games within a franchise I enjoy!

I don't play crappy girly PC FPS shooters like Stalker and the like. There just is not enough testosterone in it for me and it even makes my testicles shrink a little just thinking about playing it. Now Monster High Skulltimate Roller Maze is truly a game for Lumberjacks the manliest of men.

OT: Dark Souls. I liked it at first, but then I discovered it was made by a Japanese company and is therefore a JRPG, and suddenly the entire game transformed into a melodramatic confluence of spiky-pink-haired girly-boys dancing around Fairy Tale Land while being trampled by tortured grimdark bosses.
None. There are one or two individual games I feel strongly enough about to say that I "hate" them, but that's because they're entries in long-running franchises I've been playing since I was a child and after twenty years, I think it's justified. Other than that, why would I care whether a game is popular or not? That has no impact on me at all.
