Oh my ... it's like... we're on the same wavelength. Please let me sit in your shadow. Please?SonicKoala said:I never really got into Oblivion, despite loving Fallout 3. I guess guns do make a big difference (but, to be fair, I haven't really given it a chance). That being said, I've never played a popular game that I really didn't like. I suppose I never really got what was so great about Halo, and Gears of War never appealed to me either.
I gotta say, I did not see that one coming...likalaruku said:Psychonauts.
I don't really hate it, I just have a conflicting combination of frustration & disappointment with it.
There comes a point in everyone's life where you've seen enough stuff with zombies that it takes more than just having zombies to make it good.somerandomguy76 said:I gotta say, I did not see that one coming...likalaruku said:Psychonauts.

L4D is my choice. Very ho-hum to me even with friends.

It's. Fucking. BORING.
jigs160 said:to further expand my argument it was extremly linear so much so if it was more linear it would be a rail shooterjigs160 said:To be honest i think the game is overrated
the plot is boring its just like gordon is going to point a to point but then point b is moves with no information why
the npcs are hard to connect with or why i should care that they die or not
i dont exactly agree that i should fill in the blanks with gordon we have the game designers for that
im not saying its horrible it must be good somehow lots and lots of people like it but i'll give it 2.5 out of 5 in my scale which is a great big meh
being linear isnt bad but half-life's linearity is bad type for usually it would have a epic cut scene that would make my jaw drop(i.e. cod4's atomic explosion when you were thinking you would go to the next mission)
also again with me having to fill gordon's character that there is no impact on the story whatsoever
the point of having a fixed character is to step into thier shoes because you want to get as far away from your real life as possible and be someone else for a while
one last thing, stop saying freeman deserved it because he saved the world because almost all games today are all about saving the world
Even so,i see nothing special about them.WayOutThere said:The cover system drastically changed combat in shooter games. I'd call that ground-breaking.
