So basically FPS'?
Atleast get into Bioshock's fantastic story before writing it off. Thats like watching 5 minutes of Saving Private Ryan and saying its just another generic action film.
Why not? I dismiss plenty of other stuff without even knowing a thing about it. Ah, I jest.
I may have exaggerated how little I played, but I do know I didn't get very far into BioShock. Story is important in games to me, yes, but without good (in my opinion) gameplay, I won't be able to keep playing and that's what turned me off it. Maybe one day I'll give it another go, who knows?
But I wouldn't say I dislike
all First-Person Shooters. Like I said, I liked Quake IV - and the entire Quake franchise, really - one can gather from a few of my past posts that I like the Jedi Knight games, although primarily for the lightsaber combat. There just seems to be specific First-Person Shooters I can't stand, while others I'll play the hell out of.
To add another to my list; World of Warcraft seems to be a tricky one to place. So far in the past I've returned to the game twice now after extended breaks, and eventually I just stop playing again, don't bother buying more game time, it just fails to keep my interest. However, when I
do return, I just seem to love that game all over again, at first anyway.
Damn you Blizzard.
