I recently got in trouble for allegedly viewing porn at work,

however as I am very reluctantly to admit... it was only on my tumblr account and unfortunately when you search tags... there is always one or two posts that are porn of some description.

In this case I was looking at halo cos play for my 21st.. I was thinking of different game characters to dress up as and well... of course the girls dressed as slutty princess peach and so forth pop up.

I am very desensitized because as you can all imagine.... tumblr is just 90% porn and well you get over it swiftly...

I agree, I should have not been looking up with that sort of risk at work (calculated risk) however I still maintain the person who saw... should have paid more attention then what she did.

and at least thought hey there is 50 links, marios and duke nukems but only 1 naked girl.

Do you guys agree with me getting a fairly big warning or should I have had a chance to show the boss what actually went on?

You should have gotten a chance to explain, and then a warning.
Cause really, you shoulda been doing yer work, but that is a pretty reasonable explanation of what led to tattybojangles being on yer screen.

Make sure it IS safe for work.

Or just work, no manager can object to that.

I think workplaces defines nude art as porn. You are kind of hosed here. Really it boils down to "no naked ladies at work in any way, shape, or form".

That's a good lesson, it will make me think about what can happen before doing something similar. I guess google images with safe search on might avoid the problem.

Haha! I allways google at work with safesearch off! I enjoy the risk! Its like playing russian roulette with misc porn! And it delivers! Its absolutely hillarious at times at what search terms deliver images of naked people! It's amazing what appears when searching at times! And all this when my female boss sits next to me, a meter away! She laughs if something pops up froma legit search though!

Peosonally I don't think you should have been warned even, it was a legit mistake! Just tell the 'offended' woman that walked past to dry her eyes, and that the internet is a wild and unrulely place, and its not your fault if your hook somtimes snags the occasional passing boot!
