Awesome, I know what I'll be doing at work now haha! About time though, my Mac is about 100 x more powerful then any PC and up until this I have only had Diablo on it!!
surely you must be joking.
It's a design computer (Mac Pro) that has had been pimped to the shit and makes short work of anything. 100 x is obviously an exaggeration, all I meant was that it's got a hell of a lot of power and it would be awesome to get some games on it. If you spend enough money you can spec up anything to be ridiculous.

EDIT: Also I'm not joking, it's really does have Diablo on it :D
haha. Anyway, yeah, okay.

Diablo is sweet.

Although I do think it's great that Valve is releasing their games for Mac, I really have to wonder. Who in their right minds would purchase a mac primarily for gaming?! Aaaaaagh!

=/ i'll wait for a demo, if its a short as the first i wont be getting it anyway.
Apparently they'll be making it a feature length game. So I'm really puzzled as to how they're going to make a storyline from it.

coolio, i'll get it then ,as long as it isn't repetitive.
And there were some pretty weird things in the first game that they could make a storyline out of.
Well from some mock ups o possible covers, it seems that it's set in the same place, but it's been abandoned and is overgrown like a forest. So I'm guessing that that gives them the ability to really thicken the storyline.

Sounds great. Maybe Apple will use this, and any other Steam games, as an opportunity to upgrade the hardware in their lower end iMacs and MacBook Pros.

I guess this means a port of Source to OpenGL, so hopefully Mac (and maybe even Linux!) users can look forward to the whole Valve catalog running natively.

GUYS, I'VE FIGURED OUT THE ENDING TO PORTAL 2.. the Cake won't be a lie :O
Anyways, my uncle will be absolutely estatic to see portal on the Mac. He was telling me yesterday that he was thinking of trading his Mac Book to get Portal on the PC laptop he would buy with the money from his mac Book.

I don't think the cake was a lie in the first game... It did exist. You just didn't get to eat it. :p

Add in sentient personality cores, a pissed off GLaDOS, and set it a century or more after Portal 1.

It'll certainly be interesting, to say the least.

And so Portal went from gaming icon to yet another 'ironic' hipster show-piece...
If there's a developer I'd trust with creating a worthwhile sequel to a game with such a cult status, it's gotta be Valve.

If this is a trend then the PS3 really is just a matter of time. Not that it effects me I've also got a 360. Not that I'll be buying it for 360 I've also got a Mac. Which is great because I'd really rather use the old mouse/keyboard.

This is great, I've got a Mac Laptop far more powerful then my PC. I had bootcamp running specifically to play games on my mac, gues now I won't need to. This is great!
