Wow... it's coming to the Mac, that's surprising. Mac gamers (all 5 of you) can now rejoice that you won't miss out on what looks to be a great addition to the first game. It'd be nice if we knew more of Episode 3 though...
Really interresting idea, but why use a controller, when I can use a mouse and keyboard?teisjm said:No, that would be silly, you're obviously gonna be learning how to operate a second controller with your feet.Exterminas said:How exactly is that co-op thing supposed to work? Are we required to hook uo with some stranger from the internet, or even worse, to invite a friend over?
This mentality scares me. Why was Portal not a game? Because it was short? Nonsense. Short worked. Not every "real" game in existence has to be a MW2-style blockbuster."There was no way we could have planned it," says Lombardi. "So we knew we had to double down and give them more. Portal was a test bed. Portal 2 is a game."
I resent that.Daedalus1942 said:Wow... it's coming to the Mac, that's surprising. Mac gamers (all 5 of you) can now rejoice that you won't miss out on what looks to be a great addition to the first game. It'd be nice if we knew more of Episode 3 though...
Wait... you're a Mac gamer? ...I thought you guys were just urban legends the wanker at the local apple store made up to get me to buy his computer.Convictfish said:I resent that.Daedalus1942 said:Wow... it's coming to the Mac, that's surprising. On another note, i haven't been able to find the release date anywhere. Sometime in April I'm lead to believe, but I'd like to know the exact date. Anyone?
We are a rare breed. Hunted for our light, yet warm pelts during the winter months. Our meals are restricted, mainly Blizzard products, but we are a proud race and will continue to game from the shadows.Daedalus1942 said:Wait... you're a Mac gamer? ...I thought you guys were just urban legends the wanker at the local apple store made up to get me to buy his computer.Convictfish said:I resent that.Daedalus1942 said:Wow... it's coming to the Mac, that's surprising. I must say I feel for you. There's like what...? maybe 50 games total that have been ported to Mac?Convictfish said:We are a rare breed. Hunted for our light, yet warm pelts during the winter months. Indeed, our food source is dwindling. But the one shining hope that is Steam on Mac should get us through the winter.Daedalus1942 said:I must say I feel for you. It would be Pic in pic, they said, so you're not playing 2 on the same comp, but you sill got a sort-of split screen to make things easier for you.Exterminas said:Really interresting idea, but why use a controller, when I can use a mouse and keyboard?teisjm said:No, that would be silly, you're obviously gonna be learning how to operate a second controller with your feet.Exterminas said:How exactly is that co-op thing supposed to work? Hope this explains my question, PC-Coop, aka Hotseat usually only works in turn-based strategy games.
And playing portal with the average internet-scrub, who can barely dress himself, sounds like a good idea to slaugther the franchise.
Could foreshadow something about ep3 or maybe even Half Life 3Woodsey said:I'm really excited for this. I was a little surprised by it being set hundreds of years in the future though; this'll place us WAY after Gordon.

War Penguin said:You know, at first I hated the idea of a sequel to Portal. It was one of those games that it was fine as it was and it could just stop right there.
But all of this info has actually got me excited for how this will turn out. Cool.
