portal and portal 2 dificulty

so lately i finished portal 2 (spaaaaace lol cant stop saying that) and because i didnt have a partner for co op (my brother was kicked out when he was suprised by the fact that if he moves the portal that brings the ligt bridge to you you fall and die) so i replayed portal (the first one) i remembered the final chambers realy chalenging and sudenly i was able to run throu them like they were the end of the first part in the sequel... i finished it under 3 hours (first time it took me like 4 and a half)
so is it just me or is portal 2 way more dificult than 1? or is it just the fact that when i replayed i was already "thinking with portals"?

Portal 1 was more-so a test of what they could do with the concept of the portals.

Portal 2 is a legit game.

Portal 2 is naturally a bit harder

Well...its a puzzle game...where you are trying to find the 1 solution. And you have already found the solution. The challenge in Portal is in figuring out what to do, not the execution, and you already know what to do. Even if you forgot the solution from playing it so long ago, you still recognize what your supposed to do, even if you don't recall the exact events. When you replay Portal, it's kind of like taking a test while your staring at the answer sheet.

I find the areas outside the test chambers the most difficult, because it isn't always obvious where you're supposed to go. The chambers themselves were easy, EXCEPT for the one that you are forced to repeat... I kept falling down the pit! :'(

What? A new game is harder than a game you've played through already? But yes, overall Portal 2 is much more difficult than Portal 1.

I never got stuck in Portal 1, and even after playing Portal 1 I got stuck 3 - 5 times in Portal 2.

Yeah I generally found Portal 2 to be harder, especially towards the end. I think it's partly because there's more stuff this time, partly because it's harder to tell what walls can have portals on them a lot of the time, and partly because it's just plain harder.

I found Portal 2 harder. Though the majority of me being stuck was "OHHHH I can portal to that spot, I didn't see it cause it was so far away/behind a fence."
