Valve is awesome just for doing this. Would Microsoft release a free Halo game? Would Sony release a free God of War? Nintendo a Mario? No. Valve is amazing.

then again, halo, mario and god of war arent 2 hour long games, but i see your point, also, this is cool and all but i have already owned it and played it on the 360 for awhile, so this doesnt excite me very much

Well, while it is -very- nice that they are doing it, it's also genius marketing. Already word of mouth is spreading like wildfire. I wouldn't be suprized in the least bit if Mac steam users see the same percentage as PC steam users before the 24th.
