You'd just have a bit of a pole poking out of the other side.

If it's already "The length of roof to floor" and welded to itself, it would never fall to begin with.
It would just be there.
I beg to differ, gravity wouldn't just say "well fuck that" and give up.
First off, good question. Second, did anyone else read the "well fuck that" in Yahtzee's voice? Personally, I'd say the universe would implode.
How about Morgan Freemans voice.

This is a way better problem - what happens if you have a crate. open a blue portal on the floor - now open an orange portal -on the crate- now it's trying to fall through the floor and out of ITSELF.
Portals can't move, the connection is rigid. So its a non-problem.

If you want the logical answer:
Won't happen 'cause portals can't exist in our dimension.

If you want the non-ligical answer:
The same thing that happens when you divide by zero.
That's what I'm thinking...if you attach the bar to itself, doubling it's length using portals, then move one portal, you would damage either the portal itself or the building in which it is housed. It would more than likely snap but there is the chance that it would puncture the ceiling in one spot and the floor in the other.

Here's a nice thought
Fire a blue portal on earth, an orange one on a rocket
Accelerate the orange one to near light speed, then slow down again
Time machine!
