I think we shouldnt even bother with gender, colour, creed or whatever. A perfect world would be one where you are judged for your actions.

I don't think positive discrimination should be enforced, if a company doesn't want to hire a certain race, so be it, at least this way, the higher qualified worker doesn't get the boot, and it would be easier to recognize companies that won't hire you based on race.

I think seeing something like not having enough - insert minority here- workers as racist makes you think like a racist sort of? Since your first though is that is racist, when it's not it's getting the best person for the job.
Second, when i look at a group of people i see people. I dont see said amount of white/black/asian people. People are slightly racist for even making the distinction. I say that factory has people working there, the colour is irrelivant. He/she can hire whoever they damn well please. All this antiracism bullshit really pisses me off. The people who make these laws are some damn racist its not even funny, making htae crimes is racist as it encourages people to make the distinction between white and black even more. They think "I cant hit him, hes black and il be called racist" even if he deserves it. It simply spreads more raicsm and the people who do these things are so damn stupid they can't see it.

Indeed, I hate "positive" discrimination.

The idea that you should force businesses to discriminate in order to make everything look dandy is just stupid.
Just hire people based on their qualifications, geez.

I was kinda surprised (and more than a little suspicious) that I couldn't find an existing topic on this, but I did use the search bar. But I wanted to see what people though of so called "Positive Discrimination", the practise of forcing buisnesses to not be racist, sexist, ageist.. whatever.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is an example of positive discrimination: companies have to maintain a certain ratio of white and black workers. So say two people applied for a job, one white and one black. Now for the sake of argument, lets say the white person was better qualified, however the buisness didn't have enough black workers so the black person gets the job. The same thing could happen between a man and a woman, a teenager and an adult, a Christian and a Muslim, any two people.

Obviously this is wrong, however do you think it's a worthy trade to ensure that genuinly racist companies are legally obliged to not be?

Oh and it would be interesting for anybody who responds to say their gender, race, religion.. stuff like that. If you want to. Myself, I'm a white teenage male.
racism is bad, however this way of "taking care of it" is retarded. just let companies do w/e they want about employing ppl, its not your choice who the owner of a company wants hired, even if its due to race, if you think about it if you have a racist company and u make them hire someone the company discriminates against ur making the person and the companies life harder.

we should not intervene in this, in the end the really racist companies will show and ppl will boycot and companies will go out of business.
