Gordon wakes up from a coma and the entire thing had been happening in his mind.

At the end of the game, Gordon and G-Man have a huge firefight, but eventually run out of ammo completely. They become locked in pitched hand-to-hand combat. Gordon slams G-Man against the railing and G-Man yells "Wait! I am your father!".

Gordon refuses to fall for that old trick and cold-clocks G-Man right in the face. G-Man pushes Gordon off and lunges towards him. Gordon double back-flips to avoid him and discovers his discarded Gravity Gun on the floor.

He picks up his Gravity Gun, with some kind of snappy line like "Say 'ello to my lil' friend" (because he can talk now) and picks G-Man up off the floor. G-Man cries "You can't do this! I've got diplomatic immunity!". Gordon smirks and says "It just got revoked." and fires G-Man off of the platform.

That's how my dreams always end, at least...

Here's my checklist:

1. Have epic boss fight.
2. Destroy the Combine (preferably with a super-charged Gravity Gun).
3. Learn G-Man's true identity.
4. Kill G-Man.
5. Have sex (or at least implied sex) with Alyx or any female character of equal/greater hotness.
6. Walk off into the sunset.
7. Roll credits.

I don't care, as long as Barney gets that beer he owes Gordon.

Gman saves your life countless times (like 7 or so) why would you want to kill him? :O

But seriously, the Combine Overworld is destroyed with a massive nuclear weapon, which destroys Gman (who is actually a rogue Xen in disguise), and Gordon becomes truly free, and thus says "It's over...I'm free".

hopefully ever disgraceful character dies, and there is no end. They are just stuck in limbo for the rest of eternity and you play it and it ends up being "Sims 3: Half Life"

OK, As an outsider that has never played HL, im going to say:

"The badguys leave, Everyone lives happily ever after"

If not, Then the "everyone dies" option will most likely be the alternative.
