So, I was just surfing my way across the interwebs when I came across this video in the comments of a random article.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuHmEo0Bx7Q
For those who didn't watch, it's a clip of Matthew Broderick (Actor who played Ferris Bueller) throwing open some curtains and saying, "How can I handle work on a day like today?" followed by a brief date of 2.5.12, the day of the Super Bowl.
It's worth noting that one of the lines from the original movie is "How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?"
Description of the video reads as follows: "We hate to be such a tease, but on a day like today, we just have to. Stick it out until the Super Bowl, or take a "day off" on Monday and catch the big reveal."
One of two possible things may happen:
1) Ferris simply stars in a Super Bowl ad for some unrelated product and all of this hype was for nothing.
2) A full trailer for a sequel is released.
While I'm by no means old and didn't grow up in the era where the original movie takes place, it fast became one of my favorites and I'm excited for the possibility of a sequel. At the same time, I'm terrified that they're going to ruin it.
What do you guys think? Excited? Scared? Or just don't care?
