I agree, I'm always worried that when I tell someone on the internet that they're attractive, they automatically assume that I'm hitting on them, whether they really think that or not, so I always end up saying something like "You're really attractive and I'm not hitting on you at all, I just think you're beautiful and should be told, that's all", which probably makes me look like an even bigger freak than I would be if I was hitting on them in the first place. Really, really gotta stop overanalysing EVERYTHING...

Welcome to the club. That's totally my problem too. Even though I take it further. I don't stop at overanalyzing it, I over-talk it too! To that extent that I scare of newly acquinted ... -.-

Just keep it simple. Lay down the compliment if you feel it is worth posting and leave it at that. If people take it as you hitting on them, that is their problem. There is no problem with complimenting someone on their looks. A compliment should not automatically make you seem like you are looking for a piece of tail.

Silliness aside, I would like to know how bad/good I look.

And yeah, I know my camera is pretty bad, but 5 mega pixels for a cellphone isn't shabby.

You look entirely acceptable! Brilliantly shaped eyebrows, good lips, and all your features are well proportioned and spaced elegantly. I'd recommend taking a less blurry picture of yourself facing slightly left and with your chin tilted a bit downward, and to the left. And smiling! Smiling is the most important. Not some toothy shamble though, just something sincere.

So maybe I'm a photographer, what of it?

Well, I don't really know how to take that, but you're a photographer? That's quite nice, it's fun taking pictures, I may try to take a new one... I'll do that now.

On a side note, when I see that picture myself, I get the feeling of "Is he going to kill someone?", and that just feels weird.

That's not you is it? The photo looks suspiciously manufactured (black frame, doesn't look like it was taken by a normal camera. Also looks photoshopped somehow, use of effects etc.). Also, if that's you and you have no problem starting a thread with it, why isn't it your avatar?

If someone thinks I'm hitting on them that's their issue not mine. Besides, its kinda fun when someone thinks that and tells their significant other and then you screw with the head of their significant other....maybe thats why my friends have stopped introducing me to whomever they are with....hmmmmmm

I mean it in the sense of my guy friends getting girlfriends and then hitting on their girlfriends to try and kinda get them to give me space to hang out with my friends without seeing me as a threat and not having to be there when we hang out.
