Who else reads a series of books and gets depress when they turn the page and find out its the end of the book?

Let's see...

The Hunger Games series, though I was more angry at the ending than depressed. Still, I'd like to know even more about the world.

The Kingkiller Chronicles, and mainly because it has three books but the third is not out yet. I was depressed at the end of the second book because the world was so immersive.

Pretty much any book David Mitchell has written I've been depressed over having finished; he's a phenomenal writer.

All the time whenever I'm really into a book. When I finished my last John Keegan history book, I was upset that he had run out of history in that period to write about... D:

Not exactly the same, but when I finished "The Sight" by "David Celment-Davies" I got depressed because of how it ended, oh it wasnt a bad ending, was just haunting, touching and left me in a state of depressed shock for a few days

I loved that book, did you know it has a sequel called Fell? I think The Sight was better but just throwing out there.

OT: Just spent all day reading the second book to No Man's World and now I desperately wish the third was out already.

Lord of the Night, sorta. Great book, with a great ending...except after that there was a totally bullshit epilogue, which basically said "Yeah, there might be a sequel" and nothing else. Fuck that.

Sadly, it happened quite often when I was younger. Now that I'm older I've taken steps to try to lessen the blow. The most notable time was after reading the 4th HP book when I was 13 and realising that not only was the next book far away, but I would also never get to attend Hogwarts myself and instead continue living in a drab existence without magic or even unicorns.

It was quite terrible actually, and later led to my Legolas addiction and prompted my change into an anime fan girl.

I generally feel more relieved than depressed. This Yahtzee quote sums it up fairly accurately:

"A good story is only really satisfying once it's finished."

Almost every book I ever read and enjoyed enough to spend an afternoon at the coffee shop reading.

I found that drowning small bags of kittens did little to remove the depression received after finishing 1984 for the first time. Such a bummer

Every time I read The Amber Spyglass I think 'dammit, no! You promised this time it'd end differently!'. It's one of those books that you have to read again and again but it emotionally punishes you every time.

A million times this.

And you just know what's coming, it's in the back of your head, but still...

That's how I felt after finishing the Codex Alera series.

Basically you take Roman Legions, give them powers from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and pit them against barbarians with mentally-linked animal companions, 7 foot tall werewolves, and the Zerg.

The guy who wrote The Dresden Files wrote them too. Basically every book was bigger and more crazy awesome than the last one, and realizing there were no more was incredibly depressing.

Damn... I've only read it twice, but remembering that ending... crap...(!)

OT: Occasionally, like le Comte de Monte Cristo and Fool's Fate, upon re-reading, I sped through all however many pages, turned the last page with a building 'fffffffffuuuuuuuuuu' in my head as I try stopping myself from blubbing.

... And based on your avatar, how did you feel when Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles ended?!

Sadly, I never read much of Tsubasa. My Mokona fascination comes mostly from Magic Knight Rayearth. And I must say, a lot of anime/manga has left me quite sad and sorrowful at the end from knowing I might never get to experience something similar ever again.
